Cereus
Rays of light shine potently,
The desert sounds in this field,
I'm positioned single,
with only my shadow.
I see you outdistance me,
Not a glance my way,
Not an effort to slow down.
My ruff skin,
the sharp edges of me
don't mean a thing to you.
if you could simply come
when these rays enclose,
The moon will glow upon me,
and I blossom into pettles of beauty,
that is foreknown to you and everyone.
At midnight i expose to you my inner charm.
There's the poem...i wrote it the day after but i have been kinda in and out of my house when i don't have to watch the old lady. I hope you are all doing alright. I also hope we can get together next saturday, so make your schedules!!! lol...i'll make mine.
