Of all the random things...
Today I met Dr. Cox from Scrubs' mother.
I was just at work, doing my thing- and an older woman comes up to use the picture kiosk, which is not unusual. She needs my help, so I start to walk her through it (also not unusual).
Later on we got to a few pictures, and she turned to me: "Do you know Dr. Cox from the show 'Scrubs'?"
"Yeah," I said, "I love that show."
"Really? He's my son."
And then she proceeded to show me pictures of him at his wedding, and hanging out with John Cusack (who I must say has put on quite a bit of weight!)
Then we talked some more, and she was encouraging me to go to graduate school. She said "Drew University is a good school. Look into going there." To which I said "It is a good school. My fiance actually goes there. She's majoring in Modern History and Literature."
"A GIRL!?" She practically yelled.
We didn't talk much after that, but before she left she palmed $10 into my hand.
Crazy day.
