(no subject)
oh, well hello again, dear journal. i've been away from here for a while!! i've missed all of my livejournal friends. :o) <3
i've been hectic this last month or so. i've signed up on soo many different projects. i'm working with all these different departments, it's been rewarding but exhausting. turns out that i'll get paid for one of the positions i thought was solely volunteer.
this weekend, my roommate and i switched bedrooms. she had the bigger room, and since me and my boyfriend live together now, we need a little more space. so we did a grandiose room swap. now all of our stuff and instruments and both of our desks can fit in one room. i can keep my cello in here too. and i've been playing in the last few days more. oh yeah!! i got a pick-up for my cello, Elanor, so i'm amplified now. it's awesome, melora would be proud :o) and, we just won an auction on ebay for a delay pedal. i'll be all set up. my playing sounds so much better thru a delay pedal. it takes the edge off. i'm not classically trained, or trained at all, so anything helps. i've actually been using a bass bow, it's shorter and heavier, i get better sound. but anyways....
we've been renting movies and cd's for free from the library lately. we found a new favorite. actually, it's quite old. it's a series called The Prisoner, with patrick mc goohan. made in 1967. that's been fun.
and i've really gotten into the election news. i watched all of the prez debates so far, and i read yahoo news about it. fuck bush!! the only bush i love and trust is my own!!! i live in tallahasssee, where the whole vote count toss-up was centered. i can't belive that was four years ago!!!
the hurricanes, by the way, did not even touch us here. we got wind, and barely any rain. i even live in a serious flood zone, and the canal didn't even get flooded once. but we did get days off school. and i had plenty of hurricane stress.
the designer that i've been assisting for costumes at the community college theatre has turned out to be a fun friend to hang out with. we've gone out for "drinky-dinks" a few times and snack on sushi or appetizers.
i'm doing wigs for oklahoma, props for big love, scenery painting at the fsu opera, as well as two classes,both of which i have a fucking midterm tomorrow!! eeeek!!! i just want it to be over with. yeesh. and this crazy-ass wig inventory for the costume shop, for work-study, which i might not recieve at all. boo-hoo!!!
