Summary: An invitaton comes adressed to Mr and Mr Potter-Malfoy, but they can't go in together....Harry doesn't like it.
Harry moved with a glum face through the crowd of people. 'Stupid Ministry
and there stupid functions, taking time away from me and my stupid husband.' Harry grumbled as he picked up his fourth glass of red wine.
To be honest Harry was excited to go to the party at first, after all, for the first time the invitation was addressed to Mr and Mr Potter-Malfoy. That in itself made Harry all the more eager to go. However, and there was a big however in Harry's eyes, Draco had taken one look at the invitation and rolled his eyes.
"You realize we still have to go in seperate? How do you think people would react? Alright, " He added at Harry's confused look. "We're married and have been for a while, but that doesn't mean to say people will be comfortable around us." Draco shrugged as he placed the invitation gently on the table.
"Draco!?!" Harry bellowed, "What the hell? A few days ago you were saying how happy you were because Hermione, Ron, Seamus, Neville, Pansy, Greg and Blaise had ALL accepted this!" Harry moved toward Draco and crossed his arms, his newly aquired Potter-Malfoy (very similar to the plain old Malfoy but now slightly more effective) glare homing in on his blonde husband.
"Look Harry, it's different with..." Draco began before Harry cut across him.
"You're still terrified of what people will think arn't you?" Harry said, his voice now quiet and his eyes looking away from Draco. "You're right, I'll just meet you there, I'm less hassle for you then." Harry snapped bitterly before apparating away with a soft pop.
And so, Harry found himself alone, wine in hand and a very miserable look on his face. He moved over to one of the many comfortable sofa's lining the room and leant back, his legs outstretched and his eyes closing for a moment.
Suddenly, without warning, a warm hand slipped into his own and the sofa sagged beside him gently. "I'm sorry Harry....I was stupid...You were right."
Harry said nothing but opened his eyes and looked at the thin, delicate fingers intertwined beautifully with his own. "It doesn't matter Draco, I.."
"No Harry.." Draco interrupted him softly, "It does. I love you more than anything and I don't care who knows it." His hand came up and cupped the side of Harry's face, his thumb stroking the curve between his eye and ear tenderly. "You never have been and you never will be a hassle to me. You're too perfect." And with them words, he leaned forward and layed a soft kiss on Harry's waiting lips.
Needless to say, everyone realised just how beautiful the Potter-Malfoy's really were.
