Hell of A Week
On Thursday I took my folks to Fogo de Chao for an early fathers day lunch since that was the only day that worked for some other family members who went. I paid for myself, him, & my mom, with a $32 sangria the bill came to $108 for 3 peeps. I overdid it a bit on the meat as I was full until Friday afternoon. Friday morning my folks had to leave to go to Utah. My little brother is visiting part of the family there and is in the hospital. He's diabetic so his blood sugar levels were high, as were his key tones (protein in urine that shouldn't be there). It turns out he had fallen earlier Thursday and hit his shoulder on a door but didn't say anything since he felt fine. When he was admitted to the hospital for developing Pneumonia it was dislocated and had a hairline fracture. The lungs also have a spot on them the docs can't identify. He's been running a 104 temp but the weird thing is it keeps dropping then going back up. The doctor is baffled and not sure what it is so all sorts of tests are being done. Friday I went to a local furmeet and it went well. Yesterday I was at Denver Pride Fest all day. I had left the back windows cracked just a bit to keep the car cool. When I got back to my car some stuff had been stolen. Not really sure how the thieves got in since all the doors were still locked and no windows were broken. All the things that were stolen were in canvas bags. Nothing important, just electronics stuff that was destined to be recycled. Oddly enough they left the good stuff alone as I had my DJ stuff in there as well. Oh well, the jokes on them since they stole useless junk. I finished my day with a foot long from Subway, checked the inter webs, then went to bed. Moms supposed to call today with an update on my brother. Hopefully he's doing better.
