hook em' horns?

Recently, while reading Renee Fleming's memoir/autobiography, "The Inner Voice" I have suddenly become inspired (which really has been an epiphany culminating, that has just be refusing to happen) to actually pursue a career in music, instead of teaching.

Rather, teaching at the college level.

I will finish my B.S. in Music Ed, then attend grad school for my masters (research degree) in music history or musicology, and then maybe, MAYBE get my Doctorate in some specific category of music history or something. And then, after getting published in some music journal and giving a few dozens lectures, I hope to be hired by some prestigious school to teach all their little fledgling freshman a thing or two about music history.

Sound like plan?

I think so.

Weird. I have...goals.

...

So, now what?

*realizes that BOTH my parents went there*

*alumnus scholarships?*

Oh happy day.
