Part 12A/12B
Jensen stood on the river bank near the Christos waterfalls. His shoulders tensed with wary anticipation. Over his head, the full moon shone brightly down upon him.
“Show yourself!” He growled into the dead silence of night, his green eyes constantly scanned the area for hidden enemies.
“You can sense me. I’m impressed, sugar,” Traci replied, suddenly appearing behind the hunter.
Jensen swung around, confronting the beautiful smiling woman. He narrowed his green eyes and snarled, “This is a dream. Why the Hell am I dreaming about you? I have unknown enemies coming for my family from all sides. Are you one of them?”
The smile slipped from Traci’s lips. Her brown eyes darkened with suppressed annoyance. She said, “Be careful of your words, dear. Do you not know who I am?”
“No, nor do I care unless you are after my family. Then nothing on this earth will stop me from killing you no matter who you are or whatever you are.”
“I can tell you that nothing in this world can ever hurt me.”
“Then you must be a spirit haunting my dreams. I’ll find your dead corpse and salt and burn your bones until there’s nothing left but dust.”
“I’m not a spirit, darlin’.”
“Then what are you? My angel from above?”
“Your Mother.”
“My what?!” Jensen exclaimed. He silently cursed himself for showing his reaction to her outrageous proclamation.
“I am your Mother. The Mother of all creatures that walk beneath the full moon.”
“So I’m having a dream about God. Awesome.” Jensen deadpanned.
“Watch your mouth, son. Even though you have always been my favorite, that doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences to your actions.”
“Then you must be a vengeful type of Goddess. Mother Luna I presume. Let me ask the question again, what do you want?”
“In all my dealings with my children, you are the first to ask me what I require of you. All of my other children had immediately asked for power, wealth, or immorality. But you show your selflessness by asking what I desire from you.”
“Yeah…I’m a swell guy.” Jensen mockingly retorted. Despite his flippant attitude, he continued to watch the Goddess, making sure that he was nowhere near her range of physical contact. He didn’t quite believe that he was in the presence of a god but that still didn’t stop him from being on his guard.
He gazed at her pale, beautiful face and recognized the ageless immortal quality in her features. She was wearing a long form-fitting white dress. Even though she was clothed in a modern-styled dress, he sensed a truly ancient power radiating from her. His gut told him to be wary of the gorgeous predator before him.
“It is almost time for you to pass judgment on them.”
“Judgment on who?” Jensen asked as a ball of dread began forming in the pit of his stomach.
“You have spent a significant amount of time among them and by now should know the true desires in their heart. The time of judgment has come. Have my children learned the lessons of their forefathers? Or has the new age of reckoning come?”
“Wait…you want me to pass judgment on the pack? Why the Hell would I do that?”
“Because, my son. It is your right. It is your duty. You hold the power of death in your hands. You are the white wolf. The harbinger of death.”
+++++++
“Shit!” Jensen cried out, instantly yanking himself awake. He blinked and stared at the grinning face of the looming Alpha above him. Jared’s massive, warm body pressed his sweat-slicked frame into the plush mattress. He was surrounded the familiar scent of his lover, contentment and security filled his senses. All the tension from his nightmare melted away.
“What’s wrong?” Jared murmured as he nuzzled the fragile skin of the hunter’s neck.
“Nothing.” Jensen grumbled, tilting his head back for better access to the Alpha’s addictive touch.
“You’re lying….very naughty. I will punish you for this.” Jared warned before plunging his thick, hard cock into Jensen’s still wet and tender hole.
“Motherfucker!” Jensen cried out, his fingers digging into the Alpha’s thrusting hips. Momentary discomfort was quickly replaced by the burning pleasure Jared was invoking in him each time the Alpha’s dick brush against his sensitive prostate. He wrapped his legs around the werewolf’s flexing waist, meeting each snapping motion with his own.
“Jared….” He moaned, feeling electric, hot pleasure coursing through his body, his engorged cock was throbbing with wanton need. Pre-come oozed out from his aching slit, coating the skin of their grinding stomachs. His balls were tight and heavy with semen. The Alpha leaned down and possessively claimed his lips in an all-consuming kiss while continuously pumping deeper into him.
“Mine.” The word echoed in his head as he opened his lips and allowed Jared’s moist tongue entrance into his mouth.
The werewolf reached down and stroked Jensen’s swollen cock. The hunter groaned against the triple assault on his body, feeling Jared touching every intimate spot on his shaking form. The Alpha began speeding up his rhythm, pounding harder into Jensen’s sloppy wet passage.
“Jared!” He cried out before his mind whitened out from pleasure. Ropes of white semen exploded from his throbbing dick. With several more frantic thrusts, Jared shot loads of hot semen into his used, tender channel.
The sated werewolf collapsed on top of his mate. He gently nuzzled the hickey-covered neck of his lover in contentment. Jensen closed his eyes, feeling exhaustion pulling him back to sleep. He distractedly caressed Jared’s firm back muscles. However Jared’s hard cock did not soften. Instead it began to swell, rubbing against his overly sensitively prostate. Tentacles of lust shot throughout his body, causing his soft, sore cock to stir once more against his stomach.
“Oh fuck….Jared! You better not be knotting me again!”
“I did say I was going to punish you didn’t I?”
“That’s it. No sex for you for two months!”
“You do realize that means you won’t get sex for two months yourself right?” Jared countered, unconcerned at Jensen’s threat. He knew that the hunter found it nearly impossible to resist his charms for any real length of time.
Jensen narrowed his eyes at the Alpha’s reaction. He realized that he needed a more realistic intimidation that he would be able to follow through with. Inspiration struck and he growled, “Fuck….fine. No sex for two days!”
“Shit…”
+++++++
“Where the Hell is the Alpha?” Morgan barked at his friend.
Jensen raised his right eyebrow and teased, “Are you having another boy-crush on Jared? I thought you liked them young and barely legal? What would Bieber say when he finds out that he has been replaced?”
“Jensen, I’m serious. The full moon is in a few hours. Why are you not by the Alpha’s side?”
Neon-green eyes flashed bright with emerald fire. The Beta harshly replied, “A traitor is among us. Do you think I will stand idly by and hide behind Jared? No one will hurt my pack.”
“What would happen to the pack if you were to fall? To our Alpha if you died in the middle of your transformation? He will go mad. And I will be lost.”
The boiling anger that Jensen felt melted away at the sheer intensity of the look of stark fear on his best friend’s face. He sighed and quietly agreed, “You are right, Morgan. After Elijah had confirmed the dead blond-haired human was the man that had helped him escape I realized that the hunters are coming for us. And to know that someone here is collaborating with them on top of a bomb threat caused me to be on edge.”
“How are you certain that there is a traitor among us? The human did not state that warning directly. He only mentioned the word, ‘traitor’. Could it not be a possibility that he was calling himself a traitor among the hunters for delivering his message to us?”
“No, I looked into Hermes’s eyes when he was dying. The urgency in his voice led me to believe that there is someone in our pack allying with the hunters.”
“But that doesn’t make sense! Why?”
“I don’t know. I have ordered the alpha guards to search each den for hidden weapons and bomb devices. I also doubled the patrol. There will be guards at the borders tonight even with the full moon. They are under strict orders to remain at their posts.”
“Are you not worried about the backlash of searching through werewolves’ homes without their permission? They may say you are overstepping your authority, invading their privacy. There are some that are still loyal to Sandy.”
“I fucking don’t care. If they have a problem with it, then they can take it up with me personally and I’ll shut them down. I’m not concerned with what they want. My main priority here is the safety of the entire pack.”
“Spoken like a true Beta. This brings back days of when we first started out as hunters. You just reminded me why your code name was Pluto.”
“What do you mean?” Jensen questioned.
“You are good at everything you try. When we came here, you became a protector of the omegas when they desperately needed one. And now that you are the Alpha’s mate, you have become the Beta, treating the entire pack like your family, to protect and look after. You did the same thing when we were in the military. You would have died for our unit. Hell….you almost did several times. And when we became hunters, you were the best among us. You had the gift of death. Every target that the agency assigned to you, no matter how dangerous or powerful the monster was, you always successfully eliminated it. Hence the agency code named you ‘Pluto’.”
“What? I never knew that. I thought ‘Pluto’ was a Disney cartoon character.”
Morgan rolled his eyes. He continued, “You were one of the four infamous hunters. They called you the four horsemen of the apocalypse. There was War, Death, Famine and Pestilence. Since the agency didn’t want to outright call you these names, they hid it with Greek God code names. And so the code names Mars, Pluto, Limos and Nosoi were born. The identity of the four horsemen was a closely guarded secret. I only know of two out of four identities despite years of digging.
The Intel that I gathered on Mars tells me that he’s one sick son of bitch. Deadly and mentally unstable. I was told that he liked to play with his targets even after he kills them. I could never get any information on Limos, which freaks me out. As for Nosoi, I had the unfortunate experience of working with him once. The twisted bastard was name Sterling Brown. He was a true psychopath. I always wondered why the government had recruited him. He was a bigger monster than any of the targets that we went after.”
“Why didn’t you ever tell me this? That I was named Death and considered to be one of these horsemen.”
“Because I know how you get when someone points out how special you are. Being named Pluto was a high honor among hunters.”
Jensen scowled at Morgan and retorted, “How is it an honor when the other two horsemen are crazy, blood-thirsty bastards?”
“Now you see exactly why I didn’t tell you? It would have messed with your mind being associated with them. I know why you became a hunter. It was the same reason that I became one. We thought we were fighting against evil. If I had told you this, you may have developed doubts, which we can’t afford, in the life as a hunter. A moment’s hesitation may be a fatal mistake. You of all people should know that.”
“You should not have kept any secrets from me. Is there anything else you’re hiding from me?” Jensen asked disappointment evident in his voice as he looked at the older omega.
“Remember how I had asked you what werewolf spirit I would be? You told me that our spirit would take the shape of our wolf. When I became an omega I thought it was a mistake, Nature’s last twisted joke. But I finally figured it out. I was always weak, even when I was leading the unit, I knew we were safe because I had you guarding my back.”
“Morgan...stop. That’s a complete and utter lie. You are one of the bravest men I know. In any fight, you are the one man I trust to have my back. Always.”
“Let me finish, Jensen. You asked me if I was hiding anything from you. And I am. One last bit of self-knowledge. No matter what type of shit I dragged us into, I knew that you would somehow always get us out of it. You always protected me. Saved me.”
“We saved each other, brother,” Jensen replied. He reached out and grabbed the older omega in a bear hug. He could feel Morgan’s heart beating rapidly against his own. The omega’s body was full of rigidity, fear of rejection. Jensen tightened his hold, until the tension drained from Morgan’s body.
Although it had been months, Morgan still had self-doubts. He deeply felt the stigma of being an omega. Despite Jensen’s belief in him, he was ashamed and embarrassed by his wolf spirit.
“You obviously have not been listening to the lessons that I taught the kids. Omegas are essential to the pack. They provide balance and maintain harmony among all of us. Without the presence of the omegas, internal strife will form, eventually leading to violence. Omegas are not weak. They should to be cherished and protected… for they prevent the feral blood lust of the werewolf spirit from overcoming the mind.” Jensen said.
“Why the Hell have we been treated like crap then?” Morgan asked.
“Because the knowledge of the true purpose of the omegas has been lost to us through the years.”
“Then how did you figure it out?”
“A very intelligent and powerful woman told me through my dreams.”
“Dreams? Are you a shaman now?” Morgan teased.
“No… Something worse….”

“I’m sorry for this, Ma’am, but everyone is under orders to allow their homes to be searched,” Aldis addressed the occupants in the room.
“You fucking bastard, Hodge! Taking orders from a half-human freak!” Jake snarled at the alphas that had invaded his sister’s home.
“Watch your mouth, he’s our Beta!” Chad growled, fangs beginning to elongate from his mouth. The atmosphere in the den suddenly filled with aggression and hostility.
“Please, I will not have any violence in my home. This is a safe haven for my pup. Jake, let them complete their search. They are following the orders of a deranged Halfling. We have nothing to hide.” Sandy calmly said while her hands rubbed at her protruding stomach. She inwardly smirked at the immediate response. The tension had snapped as both alphas backed down, not wanting to upset a pregnant beta.
“Thank you. I will search the bedroom.” Aldis said, bowing his head down in respect. Sandy fought to display no reactions to the alpha’s words. She signaled her brother that she was going to follow the werewolf to her bedroom.
“I apologize for this again, but I have my orders.” The alpha said before opening the drawers in the beta’s dresser.
“I understand. The Halfling is not one of us. Of course he will distrust the pack and see betrayal at every corner. He himself stole my husband from me. It would make sense for him to see malicious behavior in others.” Sandy replied as she swiftly walked over to the crib located at the corner of the room.
She nervously watched Aldis search every item in her room meticulously. He threw clothes out of the closets, rummaging through the cabinets of her dresser, going through her most private, personal items with little regard for her presence. All the neat items in her room quickly became displaced and tossed messily to the floor. He lifted her mattress from the box spring after looking underneath the frame for any concealed objects. When he ambled toward the crib, she stood in front of it, blocking his way.
“That half-breed mongrel has taken almost everything away from me. My husband, my pack, and my position as Beta. The only thing that monster could not steal is the Alpha’s heir growing inside my belly. I’m asking you to not mar the last thing I have left of my husband.”
“I have my orders….”
“I know. This crib belonged to the Padalecki line. I’m begging you to be careful. Its old but it’s the only thing I have left of Jared that I can give to my unborn pup.”
Pity and guilt filled the alpha’s eyes. He nodded and gently pushed the pregnant beta aside. He glanced at the cradle that had several pillows heaped upon the mattress. He knelt down and scanned underneath the wooden frame.
“All clear. Thank you for your time, beta. And you have my deepest apologies.” Aldis quietly said before leaving the room.
Sandy remained frozen where she stood, her heart pounding rapidly in her chest. After hearing the loud sound of the front door being slammed closed, Jake hastily entered the room. His worried brown eyes scanned her pale complexion and the ransacked room.
“Shit… did they find it?” Jake hissed in fear.
“No.”
“Really? How were you able to hide it? This room looked like Hodge tore it apart.” Jake said in disbelief.
Sandy smiled, malevolent delight creeping across her beautiful face. She viciously replied, “I buried the bomb where they would least expect to find it. In the cradle that has held the Padalecki line for generations. A few hours from now, Speight will set off the bomb and we will finally be rid of Jensen Ackles once and for all.”
+++++++
“We will reach the location in two hours. We will remain silent and unseen. Hold formation until the bomb is activated. Then once I give the signal, you will attack. Leave no one but humans alive. Any questions?” Urban asked the assembled group of vicious, hand-picked hunters he had in front of him.
“You expect there to be any humans on Padalecki pack lands?” a surprised Brown asked.
“Yes. Pluto. Kill everyone else but him.”
“How about Dionysus?”
Urban looked at the hunter that asked about Morgan. He never liked the older ex-seaman who’d forever been by Jensen’s side. He growled, “It is doubtful he survived. And if he is still human, we can take him back with us. However if he’s not….kill him.”
“Understood.”
Karl dismissed the group. He watched them climb silently into the black SUVs before driving off in the direction the tracking device on the bomb indicated. His body tightened with excited arousal. In a few short hours he would finally be reunited with his soul mate that was promised to him years ago.
“Soon, Jensen. I will be with you. Then nothing will ever separate us again.”
+++++++
“Jesus Christ on a crapper… what the Hell are you doing here?” Morgan groused when he opened the den door to Justin’s grinning face.
“I couldn’t leave my baby unprotected especially when it’s around his most delicate time of the month.”
“Did you just imply that I’m on my period?!” Morgan barked.
“No, sweet thing. I know you have a cock….and I can’t wait to see it.” Bieber leered.
“I can’t believe I’m getting sexually harassed by a kid barely out of high school,” Morgan groaned.
“I’m sorry to disappoint you, honey, but I’m still a senior. I graduate in May. Are you going to be there to ‘congratulate’ me on my big day?”
“Oh fuck me….”
“Thought you never asked.” Justin huskily replied before launching himself toward the groaning omega. Hot soft lips crushed against Morgan’s. He opened his mouth, yelping in surprise at the attack. Instantly, Justin’s thrusting tongue entered, invoking sensual arousing sensations that he’d never felt before around another male. He whimpered in pleasure. Suddenly the young teenaged alpha was yanked out of his arms. Justin was slammed against the wall.
“Back off, asshole! You know he’s in a vulnerable state right now,” Matt snarled, his claws digging into the other werewolf’s flesh.
“Do not dictate to me how I treat my mate!” Justin growled.
“He’s not your mate yet.”
“Will you two brats quit it?!”
Both pairs of startled eyes stared at the panting older omega. Morgan blushed but continued to glower at the boys.
“Matt, I do not need you to fight my battles. Justin, get out. This den is for omegas only.”
“Jensen comes here all the time!” Justin protested.
“Not when it’s a full moon. Omegas get locked up because of their so-called pheromones. You can’t stay.”
“Then I’ll stand guard outside your door for your protection.”
“I don’t need your protection,” Morgan growled.
“Then you can protect me.”
Morgan grumbled and grabbed the smiling alpha. He gently hustled the teenager out of the den and slammed the door to his face.
“Don’t I get a kiss?” Justin yelled outside the closed door.
“You already got one.”
“Can’t I get another one? It’s dark and scary out here!” Justin whined.
“Brat.” Morgan grumbled. An amused smile tugged at his lips when he turned away from the door. He froze at the door and blinked when he realized that all the omegas were staring at him.
“I can’t believe you like that kid. He’s so annoying. Some people have no taste. Even in their old age.” Kristen snarked.
“Hey!” Morgan exclaimed, flushing a deeper shade of red.
“Leave him alone. He’s so freaking red. You don’t want him to explode,” Ian replied.
“Thanks, man. I’m glad to know you have my back,” Morgan groused.
“Always, dude.” Ian replied, winking at him.
“Why am I always stuck with annoying brats?” Morgan grumbled to himself.
“Because you are one yourself,” Katie called out to him from across the room.
“Werewolf ears, man. We can hear everything.” Matt mock whispered to him.
Morgan scowled before walking toward the window. He stared out at the full moon, already feeling the pull to transform. He had a bad feeling. His fingers tightened their grip on the windowsill while he fought against the intense desire to shift. He could hear the other omegas already whining, changing into their wolves. He continued to look up at the moon, wishing that he was standing next to Jensen. In any dangerous situation that they had ever faced, they were always together. His gut was warning him that danger had come to their door.
“Stay safe, Jensen. Please….”
+++++++
Gabriel stood hidden in the woods several yards away from the meeting grounds where all the werewolves were gathering. The black duffle bag by his side had the concealed bomb. In a few short minutes, he planned to activate the device, releasing the sleeping gas into the pack.
His brown eyes scanned the crowd for his beloved Beta. His body warmed with the memories of Sandy’s last words to him. He had always been in love with the beautiful petite werewolf. However he had also always known that she had only wanted Jared and the position of the Pack Beta. And now, to have her finally bestow attention and affection upon him was a dream come true. The past few days held the happiest moments in his dull, dismal life.
“I will not fail you.” He quietly vowed when his eyes finally found Sandy’s lovely face. The beta was looking off into the distance, seemingly distracted.
“I will reinstate your rightful position as the Beta tonight. I swear.”
+++++++
Sandy looked across the clearing and saw her husband with the Halfling. She seethed with anger and rage. Soon she would have her revenge upon the mutant mongrel that dared to steal her husband away from her.
Her hands clenched into fists by her side. Her eyes became amber bright as she fought to push her wolf back from the transformation. She wanted to witness the Halfling’s pain when the gas exploded. She knew he would not survive the night without Jared by his side forcing him to maintain his human shape. But once Jared became unconscious from the gas, Ackles would be forced to shift into his wolf. Since he still had not attained the supernatural ability to heal from the massive damage a shift would cause to his body, he would most likely die from the trauma.
Sandy smiled and waited. When this night was over, she would have eliminated one of her greatest rivals for Jared’s attention. In the end, she would finally be with her husband, raising their pup together as a family.
+++++++
Jensen continued to scan the crowd of werewolves surrounding him. The alpha guards had searched all the homes of the pack for hours and had not found a single item relating to the bomb that Hermes had spoken of. He had purposely sent additional guards to the homes of betas that he suspected still supported Sandy to ensure a more thorough examination. Yet nothing was found. Jared had assured him that it could be a false alarm that perhaps the human messenger was mistaken or sent as a decoy, but Jensen still worried. His gut was telling him that there was a traitor among them. Frustration and fear warred within him. He had already failed once with devastating consequences. He couldn’t afford to make another mistake.
The hunter smiled when he felt the familiar fingers of his mate touching his lower back. Any lingering fears and worries he had for the coming full moon had dissipated in Jared’s presence. For the first time in his life, he felt protected and comforted by another person. He inwardly smirked to himself. He remembered when he first met Jared. He was determined to bring the werewolf to justice, dead or alive. Now he couldn’t picture his life without the domineering Alpha.
“You fucker….” Jensen turned and muttered to his bemused mate.
Jared raised his right eyebrow before the hunter reached up and grabbed his face in a fiery, passionate kiss. Strong arms wrapped around Jensen’s waist, pulling him tighter and closer to the hot, muscled, massive body. Jared’s large engorged cock pressed against his stomach. Firm, experienced hands began massaging his ass.
“You better not be groping me in public.” Jensen muttered against the Alpha’s lips.
“You started this, my little hunter. I’m going to finish it.” Jared replied as he trailed wet, hot kisses along Jensen’s cheek to his neck.
Instead of feeling annoyed at the Alpha’s tactics, Jensen felt comforted and cherished. He never allowed himself to feel dependent on anyone before. But in Jared’s arms, he felt loved.
“Damn….” Jensen quietly cursed, pulling away from Jared’s arms.
“Hmm? What’s wrong?” Jared asked, his eyes narrowed and flair amber bright.
“Nothing.” Jensen quickly responded.
“Can’t be nothing judging by the expression on your face. You look like you are sucking a sour lemon. Tell me what is bothering you.”
The hunter frowned at the werewolf, refusing to answer. His heart raced in his chest at the sudden realization. He was in love with massive, glowering werewolf in front of him. He knew the stubborn Alpha would continue to hound the truth out of him if he didn’t give a satisfying answer.
“I’ll tell you tomorrow.”
“You tell me now.” Jared commanded.
“Then I guess you will be disappointed because I’m not telling you shit.”
“Jensen, do not make me compel you. I can as your Alpha.”
“No, you won’t.” Jensen replied matter of factly.
“And why is that?” Jared asked in annoyed amusement.
“Two reasons. One, you will be breaking my trust and that is a bridge you don’t want to cross. And second, Sam won’t let you.”
“Jensen!” Jared growled in warning.
“It’s nothing bad. I swear.”
“Then why do you feel scared and hurt?” The infuriated Alpha demanded.
“What?! Are you reading my mind?” Jensen exclaimed, fear and worry reflected in his voice.
“No. It is our mating bond. I can feel you.”
“I didn’t know that! How come you never told me?”
“I thought you knew. You seem to know most of our culture already.”
“That is no excuse for hiding information from me!” Jensen snapped.
The Alpha smirked at him and retorted, “Guess I have to tell you more…tomorrow.”
The hunter scowled at his mate, once again being reminded of how difficult it was trying to capture Jared for years.
“Wily bastard. Fine. We exchange information tomorrow.”
“When the first ray of the sun hits the leaves of our land, I will get my answers from your lips.” Jared added.
“You could have said sunrise, weirdo.” Jensen grumbled before Jared swept him up in his arms once more.
“Dude… I’m still mad at you!”
“Why? Did we not resolve our conflict?”
“Well…yeah I guess so.”
“Then let us enjoy the night together. I have not seen you for the last three hours… far too long.” Jared proclaimed before swooping down and kissing his mate senseless. The lovers paid no attention to the crowd of werewolves surrounding them. They were too consumed with one another. Unbeknown to them and the werewolves around them, at that very moment a poisonous gas was being released into the air by a device controlled by one of their own pack.
+++++++
Ten consecutive shots burst out from the M25 sniper rifle. The silver bullets accurately ripped into the flesh of the alpha werewolves guarding the perimeter of the Padalecki pack land. Instantly their dead bodies dropped to the ground, brain and blood oozing out from the gunshot wounds in their heads. The rifle was equipped with a silencer, suppressing the deadly sounds of the silver bullets as they were fired.
Seven humans dressed in black military armor quietly entered the borderlands. War had arrived.
“Nosoi, I want you to take the team toward the center of the town. Eliminate all threats as quickly as possible. No play time. Understood?” Urban addressed the six hunters that surrounded him.
“Mars, come on. What is the point of doing this if we don’t get to have any fun?” Brown hissed, stark disappointment in his voice.
“You had your fun with Hermes. We are under orders. Terminate the entire pack to send a message to all remaining werewolves. Our second objective is to find Jensen and bring him back.”
“You sure that’s a real objective? Or is it one of your own that you snuck in because you want to bone the fucker?” Bomer, one of the hunters, asked. His handsome face sneered with distaste.
Without any hesitation, Urban whipped out his Glock and shot Bomer dead center in the throat. The blue-eyed hunter blinked at him in disbelief as a deep red stain spread down and across his body armor before he collapsed dead onto the ground.
“If anyone dares question my commitment to the agency or insult Jensen again, I will kill you.” Karl growled harshly. His brown eyes scanned the men for potential threats.
“Understood, Mars. You do realize that we are now a man down...”
“The gas that has been released from the bomb has rendered all the werewolves weak and vulnerable. You will have no issues killing them. Therefore if anyone of you pisses me off again, I will eliminate you. Got it?”
“Yes, Sir,” all the remaining hunters immediately replied.
“Good. Now let’s go hunting.” Urban said, a vicious bloodthirsty smile spreading across his handsome face. The group of deadly hunters walked deeper into the land, taking them closer to the meeting grounds of the werewolves.
+++++++
“Shit, something is wrong…” Jensen croaked, coughing. Pain laced across his chest, making him groan from the anguished intensity. At first, he had thought it was from the full moon, his body fighting to transform into a wolf. But as other werewolves began dropping to the ground, convulsing and splitting out blood, he knew that the traitor he was looking for had attacked.
He had fallen to the ground, Jared’s arms still wrapped around his waist. He suddenly realized that Jared’s body was shaking behind him on the ground.
“Jared?” Jensen worriedly called out, twisting around. Terror filled his eyes. Crimson rivulets of blood spilled out of corners of Jared’s mouth and eyes, his skin was pale and sweating while his multi-colored eyes grew unfocused, hazy with pain.
“Jesus Christ…Jared!” Jensen barked, grabbing Jared’s shoulders. With the touch of Jensen’s hands on his body, the powerful Alpha collapsed into his mate’s arms. The hunter clutched desperately at the unconscious werewolf. His frantic green eyes stared at the horrifying scene in front of him. Alphas and betas in their wolf forms were falling to the ground. Fountains of blood spilled out of their snouts and eyes, rendering them unconscious as they twitched about on the ground. Those that remained in their human shapes were conscious but were crouched over, convulsing with pain. The air reeked with the chemical gas that had been released.
Jensen knew the only way to save Jared was to drag him away from the gas. But he was too weak; he could barely hold his massive lover in his arms. Even more of his strength was leaving his body by the second. On the edge of the clearing, he noticed shadows of men approaching. He tried to grip his gun, the weapon slipped out of his feeble grasp.
Fear churned in his belly as he helplessly watched the men coming closer. His mind desperately searched for a solution. He smiled when the quick answer came to him. He closed his eyes and concentrated on the one person that could save them all.
“Morgan…brother…..I need you….”
+++++++
Morgan snapped open his brown eyes. He sensed the pain and fear that Jensen was feeling. He couldn’t explain how he knew the emotions came from the Beta but his gut was telling him that his best friend was in trouble.
“Something is wrong with the Beta.” Morgan growled out to the omegas in the den.
“What are you talking about?” Matt asked. “How do you know?”
Morgan ignored his question as his mind filled with images of fallen werewolves on the field. Cold fear for Jensen raced through his mind. He wanted to rush out of the den and immediately help.
Stay in your human form. The gas will be less effective on you. A voice whispered through his mind. He somehow knew that the voice belonged to Jensen.
“Morgan?” Katie tentatively called out.
“Hush! I’m trying to listen!” Morgan snapped.
Some type of chemical gas has been released. Stay away from the clearing. Humans have approached. Utilize hunter methods to attack. Come quick….
“Jensen, I’m coming. Just hold the fuck on!” Morgan roared, shocking the omegas in the room.
“For the second time, what is going on?” Matt snarled. All the omegas had immediately shifted to their human shapes at the obvious distress of the older ex-seaman.
“The pack is under attack from human hunters. The traitor had released a chemical agent that is affecting all alphas and betas that have shifted into their wolf shape.”
“Mother Luna!”
“Holy Shit…”
“Half the pack is unconscious. Those that are still awake can barely move. The human hunters have breached our borders. They have arrived to make war on our pack. Since we were kept away from the clearing where the gas was released, it has not affected us. Therefore it will be up to us to save everyone. And we won’t be able to use our werewolf strength and power. We will have to rely on our human skills.” Morgan calmly explained to the frightened omegas.
“We are doomed…” Ian mumbled.
“No, we are not. We are hunters. This is what we do… kill monsters…save innocents. Have you forgotten all your lessons?” Morgan probed.
“No!” All the omegas resolutely cried out.
“Then follow me, my brothers and sisters. Let us defend our pack, our family. For. We. Are. Hunters!” Morgan snarled, his eyes shining amber bright with determination, rage, and frantic devotion.
