Slow moving at first, I almost gave up with the series but seeing as it had good reviews I stuck with it. I have to say, it got interesting only towards the end of episode 2 for me so please stick with it if you find it boring :P P.S Takashi is the hottest thing ever. LOL!

It got really exciting towards the end, everything seemed to come together and mysteries were solved. In all, I felt satisfied with the ending though you could also see it in a cliché sense. They kind of put hints here and there though there’s probably no way I could have figured that one out till the end after someone’s death.
Comedy was there, though not as funny as Cat eye’s and Yamada Taro’s but it had it’s shot too XD!!
Check out Pi as Shun in his arrogant cheeky look because he's got a girlfriend lol.
The plot was unique based on the year this drama was released as it wasn't as common then (many of those started coming out after, probably following the success IWGP had?). The soundtrack didn't really have a large impact on me, I don't really remember how it sounds like anymore, but I have a feeling it wasn't too bad.
Complicating drama to review in my opinion, I personally think it’s the best role pi’s got for his dramas (lol oops). With big names such as Nagase Tomoya as Makoto (My boss my hero), Yamashita Tomohisa as Shun (Nobuta Wo Produce, Proposal Daisakusen), Sato Ryuta as Masa (Pride, Kisarazu Cat’s eye), Kobozuka Yosuke as Takashi/King (Go), Sakaguchi Kenji as Yamai (Iryu!) and many more, who wouldn't be interested?
IWGP SP
Lol, watching Cat’s eye before this as definitely the right thing to do, one spoiler about Sho in the SP. He appeared as a Cat’s eye cameo. Like, how totally funny was that? XD!!!! Anyway, the series starts of with a new case, SOUP.
Changes:
Babies were born (2 were kings’)
The police officer was changed.
Makoto’s house is gone
Some characters who used to be main weren’t “important” anymore
Awesome guest star like SHO appeared lol.
Someone has been out attacking the beggars from toe to head (in that order XD!) so who is it? Once again Makoto is out to solve the case.
The cat’s eye cast appears for about 1 minute and disappears. Lol
Though highly recommended by IWGP watchers, I felt there to be too much drama and CONCERTS (ugh) for me. There were too many soap opera scenes that made me really bored. However, it did explain some things that weren’t touched in the series so I guess it wasn’t a waste of time. Not really my cup of tea though.
