Went to
Latitude Festival this weekend. Had a good time there last year, with
inkognitoh as festival mentor, and booked my ticket this time round when the restructuring horror began at work so I'd have a change of scene to look forward to once the hammer had finally fallen.
Chucked down with rain intermittently, but my tent did me proud and kept dry and snug all weekend. They didn't run out of
Hektor's Scarecrow this time, so I had many glasses of this fine ale over the weekend.
Lots of interesting events, talks, comedy etc, as well as some great music. Camille O'Sullivan started the party on Thursday. Loved the guy who shouted in admiring wonderment at Grace Jones: "you're bonkers!".
Nick Cave is God. Or quite possibly the Antichrist.
The Pretenders and Squeeze have aged pretty damn well, and I enjoyed a lot of the newer music I saw. This has been my earworm for the last few days:
