Christmas

High points:
Seeing family again.
Cooking Christmas dinner successfully.
Watching Royal Ballet production of Romeo and Juliet on BBC2 on Christmas afternoon.
Presents - World of Warcraft cards, Luttrell Psalter coffee mug, and a nice piece of Japanese steel. And Derek Dougan's overcoat.
Vegging out playing city of Heroes when I got home, taking another character up to level 20.

Low points:
The coaches. the National Express service, and the rail replacement one between Birmingham and Northampton were good, but there was just something wrong with our bl**dy coaches this holiday. Three coach journeys, three coaches...
1. Had to change at Birmingham because the coach was malfunctioning. then waited 45 minutes before having to change again because the replacement one had now developed a fault.
2. Coach air-conditioning was running away so temperatures were soaring, coach was crowded, I ended up sitting over the engine.
3. Five minutes into journey, the skylight blew off, so journey from Birmingham to Northampton was conducted in an open-top coach. Down a motorway. In December.

coaches, christmas
