Motivation
Methinks that I am in need of a change at work. I don’t mean a new employer, just a new posting or project team. The sad truth is that I have been in this team for two years and I am just getting too comfortable. Simply put I am becoming de-motivated to do any work! I am now finding the work too easy and there is no sense of push or drive. I definitely need a change of scene.
Which rather tragically means that I am going to have to apply for promotion! There may be other options, but I will need to get a bit of advice about those.
Admittedly my mind is certainly not on my job these days as my personal life is definitely more interesting! This has been a great few months for computer games (which I just don’t have the time to play), for catching up with friends (a school reunion 2nd weekend of November, eek!) and admittedly my new lady friend has definitely been distracting me! Rather annoyingly she is having a birthday party this weekend right in the middle of the England v France rugby match. I have the feeling that I am going to be accused of being distracted this weekend! Ah well, she will just have to forgive me!
Anyway, short gripe of the day is that I need some change. Time for some career planning.
