Bah humbug!
A rubbish commute this morning. I clipped a cyclist with my wing mirror this morning. I stopped and checked that he was ok (which he was), but the glass in the mirror was smashed. Hopefully Europarts around the corner will have a nice cheap replacement in stock. While I am there I will get some windscreen wiper blades too. I checked the service log of the car and it looks like there are quite a few things that need replenishing at the next service (new cambelt, new brake fluid, new oil and filter plus any worn brake pads..) It ain’t going to be cheap.
On a positive note, I only have two days of work in the office left this month as I have taken a week and a bit off for the lan party and my birthday. I have scrapped my plan to do any big birthday celebration this year, my mind just has not been on it. Plus the motivator for doing it was so that I could catch up with a load of friends I have not seen in ages, but I have caught up with most of them over the last couple of months anyway. Either way, I now have a week and a half of gluttony and laziness to look forward to, yay! I might even do some DIY bits to my flat.
I really don’t feel much like working today. Just have to look busy for a couple of days, survive a project review and then I can forget about work completely. Come September I will be nicely refreshed and raring to get stuff done. I just need some downtime, I guess it really has been too long since I last took a holiday.
