Grumble

During the holidays LJ had the ads that would cover the whole window until they'd played for a few seconds, and now it looks like they've got an only mildly less annoying thing going on now that you can at least get rid of sooner. My guess is that paid users don't see the ads, but I'm very very close to officially giving up on LJ. I mostly use

It was annoying during the holidays, but it went away so I sort of let it go. But if it's back for good I'm gonna be gone for good.

Huh, I've only noticed those a couple times total. Maybe because I open tabs and then go back to something else for a bit, giving the ads time to play out?

I hate that LJ is a dying animal. It's still my favorite-favorite. D:

When the ads first started showing up again they seemed to play out in another tab just fine. However, now they won't start playing until you actually stick around in the tab. I've changed from a Plus to a Basic account to see if that makes them go away, or maybe show up less.

I don't like seeing LJ die out. It's such a good system for making journal entries and keeping track of ones from other people.
