I had my 36 week check-up Tuesday. Dr. W. walked in, giggled, and said, "Look at that stomach!" THANKS! She gets away with it because I love her. I really am all stomach, and it is huge:
This is from Saturday at my friend Lori's baby shower. She is three weeks behind me, maybe four. She's a petite girl, but still. Notice how my stomach begins at my neck and ends at my knees :)
Anyway, everything is good and on schedule. Kaity moves like a maniac; Dr. W. even seemed amused by how active she was. She/Dr. W. gave me the best news ever (related to the birth, relatively speaking of course) and said she will make sure I have her permission to SHOWER in the hospital (not being able to was honestly the worst part of being there the last two times I had surgery...). Other than that, I start weekly appointments and ta-da: three weeks from... right now, in fact, Kaity will be born!
A humorous anecdote: I spent an hour at Starbucks yesterday working on some projects. All of the young people working there were marveling at my pregnancy. When I told them I am 9 months pregnant (which isn't official until tomorrow...), one girl said, "Should you be here?" and the guy said, "What are you doing out?" I didn't have the heart to tell them that I was at that exact Starbucks when my water starting leaking with Miranda. Tee-hee. I wish it had last night :)
Hope the rest of you are doing well!
