New Downton
Just watched the first episode of series two. ahdfhsghshgddgdjd this show. I cannot even. SO MANY FEELINGS.
Just gah. So beautiful. This was everything I could have hoped for. I mean, not all of it, storywise, obviously, but of course there are conflicts that are being set up that will be resolved or won't be, but just yes omg, the way it was all done jsgdhgdhs YAY.
On top of it all, this show is just so beautifully paced. The episodes are only an hour, but they pack so much into them in a quiet, lingering way that they feel longer, which is a good thing given how much you don't want them to end ever.
And congratulations to Maggie for her Emmy! Though, of course, Lady Violet would no doubt be all:
