[Four] [Earthquake] Aftermath
Things have quieted down at the clinic now, since it's been a few weeks since the earthquake occurred. We got a lot of patients, though, strangely enough, a lot of the injuries weren't caused by the earthquake itself... We also got some... interesting patients as well. Anyway, I hope those who visited us are recovering speedily, and that everybody else is all right.
If it weren't for my internship at the clinic, this summer would be really boring. After I'm done working my shifts, I just come home and do pretty much nothing, except for try to avoid my mom. She and I haven't been on good terms ever since she told me she wouldn't let me go to camp. And while she did agree that my internship is a good thing, she gets this weird sour expression on her face whenever I mention it, or she says goodbye when I go off to work. I don't know what her problem is... but, really, I don't care. This is something I really want to do and it's been such an amazing experience and Dr. Eldoon is such a great mentor... I'm not going to let her ruin it for me.
Still, I wish I had a reason to get out of the house when I'm not working. That way I won't have to deal with her.
