You can't stop anyone from doing something like that. You can SUGGEST to people that classifying is harmful but most people won't listen because life is more managable if we can group things and people and personalities into categories. People are close minded. A LOT of people are REALLY close minded and, in my opinion, that causes a lot of suffering in the world. There is so much FEAR and laziness (but mostly fear) that keeps people from keeping an open mind about things in life. If you'll allow me to get improvisy: People need to say "yes" more. Like Johnstone says: "Those who say 'yes' are rewarded by the adventures they have, and those who say 'no' are rewarded by the safety they attain. There are far more 'No' sayers around than 'Yes' sayers, but you can train one type to behave like the other." That is, if they are willing. One of the main things that pisses me off in life is that SO MANY people are just flat out NOT WILLING. People who are not willing make me SO angry -how dare people choose to be bigots. Shame on those people. They bring or support a lot of suffering in the world. Life should hold no absolutes <-which, in itself, is an absolutist statement which shouldn't be taken absolutely. Alex. I'm affraid you've encouraged me to step up on a soap box here. The fact of the matter is you can only suggest to people that classifying can be harmful and then you have to be willing to hear them out on what they think about that. You gotta hope that their willing to listen and consider... so many people don't do that and it is a really big shame.
