Woot!
Sooooo if any of you who have spoken to me the past few weeks, you know I have been stressing out about the application I sent into Pepperdine's grad school program. This was the only school I sent my application into for this year, and the more I thought about, the more I wanted to go! Pepperdine is a great school! But my GPA in college was not stellar (I got a 2.9) and my GRE scores were OK, so I wasn't too sure what to think.
So I get home last night and check my mail, which is sitting on the computer, and I see a letter from Pepperdine, a thin envelope. So I am freaking out, thinking that the whole envelope thing they talk about in undergrad (where if you get a thick packet, you got in and if you get a thin one, you probably didn't). So I open the envelope and pull out the letter, along with a return envelope, so I am wondering "Why would they send me a return envelope???" So I open the letter and find those glorious words, "We are pleased to inform you..." So basically, I have been provisionally accepted into their MS program in communications! Woot! I don't know what made them decide to accept me, maybe my writing samples or my letters of recommendation? But whatever, I am GOING TO GRAD SCHOOL this fall! How completely amazing is that???
There are a few things I could definitely use some prayer/advice on though... first off, work. Do I keep working where I am now, a place I hate and stresses me out, but that makes me money; or do I quit and have a more relaxing summer working part time, but not making nearly what I am making now? Conundrum! Second, we are supposed to go on a family cruise for my parents' 25th anniversary, but we leave August 25, unfortunately, classes start the 27th. So, pray that we can change the dates, because I REALLY want to go on this cruise. SIGH. Too many decisions, they are making my head hurt...
