[Some other people have already asked, but...] Do you need anything?

[Tiny pause, he wasn't expecting that.] Of course. Do you want to come to the Spa, or should I meet you somewhere?

I'll come to the Spa in a while if that's OK

Alright. I'll be waiting.

Quicklog

[Though Cloud isn't certain when Krile was planning on coming down, almost immediately after he finishes writing the comment he grabs a notebook and heads outside. There's a place just outside the Spa he can sit, and a good view of both some plants he wants to try drawing and the path that leads up to the Spa. His current body wasn't nearly as good at drawing or even writing, the childish muscles having a harder time holding the brush, and so he had taken to practicing whenever he had the time.

When Krile comes up the path she'll see a white-haired boy staring with great concentration at a fern.]

[Krile shows up sometime rather later, because she ended up falling asleep after Mr. Vimes came over. She holds her hat in one hand, trying to summon up the stoic strength she usually has in these situations, but she's not very good at it.

...Huh. Cloud looks exactly the same. Except for height. What's he doing, anyway?]

Hi Cloud.

[By the time she shows up, he's already gone through several sheets of precious paper; he would probably save a lot of trouble, or at least annoyance, for himself later if he stopped practicing, but then he'd have nothing to do. He's currently planning to pick up some more paper the next time the Wilderness turns into a city.

Cloud glances up at the sound of someone calling his name, and blinks to see a young girl with blonde hair standing there, holding a hat. Since he's only expecting one person, and actually only *knows* one blonde woman... he shuts the notebook, standing up quickly. It's probably Krile, but she doesn't look so great.]

Krile? Hi.

[She wanders over and looks at the closed notebook, then up at him. It's... strange to see him smaller. But he still has his bangs shaggily draped over one eye. Does that mean it's gone at this age? That seems very sad, to Krile.]

Hi.

[She knows she said that already, but isn't sure what else to say. But if nothing else, Cloud being smaller makes him easier to hug, which she does now.]

[To say that Cloud is surprised by that would be a bit of an understatement. The notebook hits the ground as he stands there, stunned for a second--belatedly remembering that hugs should be returned if someone gives them to you; Sniper's managed to teach him that much, at least. Especially if that someone looked as woebegone as Krile did.

So he carefully wraps his arms around her too, a bit awkwardly, and just... kind of holds her, waiting for her to be ready to let go.

Hugs from Sniper are rough and hard, for the most part. They all seem to be part of that 'friends hit each other' thing Sniper believed in. This hug is different... he isn't sure how to describe it.

But it's warm.]

[Krile notices the awkwardness, and if she was her normal self she'd let go to stop making him uncomfortable. Right now, she's having a harder time seeing outside of her own needs, and just seeing him isn't enough. She has to hold onto him.

She's not crying, not anymore--she got most of her tears out with Mr. Vimes, at least for now. But she still feels weary inside. And Cloud seems content just to hold onto her indefinitely.

After a time she loosens her hug a little.]

...thanks. Sorry. You prob'ly don't like hugs too much.

[Well... should he pull away? Or keep hugging her?

He settles on a kind of compromise, patting her back a little awkwardly as he loosens his grip as well, attempting to pull away from her. Not unkindly, this is just something he hasn't had much exposure to. But he's not sure she's ready to let go just yet.]

...it's ok, it's not that. I'm just not used to them.

[She lets him pull away, not minding the awkwardness of the movement. She lets go too, now that she feels a little reassured that he's still there.]

Oh. That's kinda sad--hugs're nice. Least I like them. [She folds her arms under the long frontpiece of her cloak. It's still February out.] You weren't out here all this time, were you?

[As she lets him go he bends down to pick up his notebook, shrugging a little.]

They're ok. [As far as he's been able to work out, they mean 'friends.' As such, he's... happy when his friends hug him. Or at least, he's not un happy... it's hard to work out just what he feels about hugs, actually. He just tends to accept them when Sniper, and now Krile it seems, give them to him.

He shivers suddenly, her words reminding him that yes, it's cold out here.] ...guess I lost track of the time. Wanna come in?

[Hugs are pretty simple for Krile even when she's her normal age: they're nice and she likes them. But she's usually more careful, knowing that some people don't like being affectionate.]

Yeah. I don't want you to get sick.

[She takes his hand almost automatically and then lets go, remembering how awkward he was about the hug.]
