[Youth can find Cara in a now rather battered and bloody Penelo outfit huddled in a doorway. She's not so severely wounded, having chanted two Chakras so she won't bleed to death, but it's going to take a while to build up that energy for a third.
And it doesn't do a whole lot for the lack of blood either--she had to sort of half-crawl with her spear over to that spot. Plus it's cold. So mainly she's got her cloak and trying to keep alert by writing in the journals.]
[Apart from the fact that pride makes her reluctant to answer 'yes' to that, she's staring at the rather cartoony-looking thought bubble above his head and the words inside. Is that... real or is she just seeing things?
But she's really not sure if she can stand up, or how long she could stay upright if she did. And he was polite enough to ask at least.]
Has anything changed for you? And where shall I take you? Medical was attacked, but I believe it is now safe and secured, and some of the medical staff are unharmed.
[And then I can assist in securing it as well for a time, and relieve Sky.]
[He started walking, keeping an eye out for any one that might attack.]
[She clings to the cloak and his coat as he picks her up, feeling rather ashamed. She could have fought better than that... but at least she survived and was able to get a warning out.]
Better not think anything embarrassing then. And I just found a bunch've different clothes when I woke up.
[She looks up in alarm, though. Medical attacked?]
I hope they'll be okay... it wasn't Paladin though. It was a copy or something that looks like him. He said he'll be there.
[Cara taps the journal weakly to emphasize, since Paladin wrote to her while she was waiting.]

[Cara smiles faintly and looks away from the thought bubble. Grass, haha.]
I won't look. You can think what you want.
[She starts to nod and winces. The smack from the sword just stunned her rather than putting her out cold like the dark knight had intended, but it still left a rather painful bump.]
Yeah... I just hope nobody else gets hurt. Who forgot...?
[They reached the elevator and Youth used his elbow to push the button. He frowned at the wince.]
[That is not good. She is in pain. I do not know anything about medicine, or I would help. I do not think that is quite true, actually. It does not feel right. I might know something. But I do not know what it is I might know, so it is useless right now.]
A few people, I believe. Two in particular I know - Handmaiden and Genius.
[Cara resists the urge to look up again at what he says. Lost memory... it catches up with her more fully when he says the names, even if she doesn't know either of them particularly well.]
How did it happen so suddenly? That isn't how it's gone before... they lost it all?
[Thinking and talking itself is keeping her conscious, though. If now more worried than ever. What's going on this weekend?
...but two friends of his just lost their memories. Gone.]
...sorry... I shouldn't interrogate you like that.
[Having a conversation while hurt like this isn't very easy it seems. She's a little confused by his question for a moment before she realizes what he meant.]
No... sorry, I didn't word it right. I mean when someone loses their memory, it's never just happened out of the blue... they have to be reborn. With a dream.
But if it's so different--maybe it'll be temporary. Like the other things.
[She hopes so, although she isn't at all sure and wouldn't bank on it. Cara's never heard of anyone regaining their memory of Edensphere. Still, if there's a chance...]
quicklog... well not that quick on my endfeathered_earthMarch 7 2010, 06:45:18 UTC
Yeah. Hope's important.
[If she was looking at Youth's thoughts she'd agree... about both things. She really just doesn't know how this is going to turn out. So far things aren't looking very good, but that's just reason to fight harder.
If she could still fight, which she can't. And it's very cold. She holds onto his shirt with one hand as he starts running, but this bit isn't so bad. It's sort of like flying actually. In a way.]

[There is blood everywhere. Paladin seemed nice before. But this series of things has been very confusing. It is possible it his not his fault.]
I do not think that you should be walking at all. May I carry you?
[He tried to tuck her cloak around her a bit more, and wound up pulling off his green coat and adding that to her layers.]

Sure--um--are those your thoughts?

They are. That is how I am affected.
[I do not see anything different about--]

[Especially when NO NO GRASS. Green grass. Grows everywhere. All over the place. There is nothing dangerous about grass. It is very good.]
No one was killed. Some have lost their memories, which is why they cannot help people right now.
[Youth glanced at the closed journal and nodded, not having a hand free to open it and look while he carried her.]
He is not the only one with a clone. We will figure this out.

[That is shocking. Why is everyone reacting with surprise if this has come before?]
Every bit of their memory is gone. They do not even have dreams.
[Not even a sense of what is familiar and what is not. It is all gone...]
[The elevator opened, depositing them on the correct level.]
Will you be all right if I begin to run, or would it hurt you more? And it is all right. I understand wanting to know.

[There might not be much to hope for. But it does not hurt to hope. It hurts more to not.]
If you are sure.
[She has lost a lot of blood. It seems like that is the best option.]
[Youth broke into a run, carrying her toward Medical]
