Fun in the Sun in the Texas
Back from the warmth and into the cold. I had such a relaxing and fun weekend. Well relaxing but still didn't get much sleep at all. Because we went to bed at 2 every night and got up at like 8ish, and 6 on sunday.
The surprise was great, Big Joe was the most surprised Joe and I have ever seen him. It was great. We got to hang out with all his family... and so to be my family too. His grandma was so surprised she cried. It was cute. Most the time was speant cooking food for the big thanksgiving dinner. We went to Suzan's and Randel's house on friday for a cook out. Tons of people were there, and we got to meet Ricky's new gf Brooke! She is soo sweet, and was well excepted by the whole family. Then Saturday afternoon we went to Sears to the Portrait studio to take pictures of all the cuzins. I got to be in one of them so that was cool. I just felt so bad for that poor lady takin the pictures, cuz just imagine a combination of Ricky, Joe, his cuz Joe, Steven, Jay, Jacob, Erika, and Katie.. it was CRAZY... the boys were giving that poor girl so much crap... and she could hardly keep them contained. She literly when she was done taking pictures shoo'ed them out. it was hilarious. And then after they left Debi, Patty and I looked at the proofs to see what they wanted and the lady asked me "Do you seriously want to marry into those boys?!?" it was funny. Great pictures though. Then that night they had the big thanksgiving dinner. Every kind of food emaginable. 20 pound turkey, 16 pound ham, mash potatos, .... 7 different kinds of pies.. and more.
it was so much fun to spend time with the family and eveerything. I love them so much and am so glad I get to become a part of them.
Then there was our fantastic flight home... we got on the plane about 130 when it was supposed to take off and then the pilot tells us we have to wait there for an hour because Chicago airport has only 2 runways open because of the high winds.. then later he tells us its going to be a half hour more.. so we sat there on the run way all that time.. but it was the biggest plane I had ever been on.. that was pretty cool a 777. It has 9 seats all the way across. And tv screens in the back of every seat and we were able to watch Will wonka and the chocolate factory and Pirates of the Carribean plus music and tv in between, plus I played sims, and planned classes I wanted to take and even looked at invitation magazine with Joe.
The landing was crazy too, I am glad they delayed us, because if that was the safer runways then I dont want to know what the others were like. It was incrediable bummpy and stuff. So much terbulance that you could look out the widow and you would see lights and then no lights in two seconds.. it was crazy. It was fun though and I am glad I got to go.. plus it was so nice to get away from all the college drama going on around me.
