Another unpolished bit of the Bakery!AU.
Timeline notes: Early on in the Bakery!AUverse, Leon's 15 and just recently started working at the pastry bakery.

The bell jingled, the door swung open, and in walked the prettiest woman that Leon had ever seen.
She was tall, with sleek black hair and skin the sort of pale that looked elegant, not sickly. She was wearing some sort of Chinese dress with a slit that went up to there, and she smiled at Leon when she saw him gaping.
She smiled! At him!
He swept the floor in a daze as she ordered six éclairs for takeaway, moving the same pile of dirt around and around, gum forgotten in his cheek.
“Who was that?” he asked in a stunned, reverent whisper when she was gone.
“Oh, the Count?” Mrs. Reynolds said, “He’s a dear boy; in here all the time.”
Dear. Boy.
Leon choked on his gum.
