Since I last posted about the French, I have seen
Nadal, Djokovic and Federer play in that order, and a couple of them more than once, which was oddly reassuring. So far, I don’t feel I’ve watched much women’s tennis, though. Many men are wearing silly shorts this year (and why is Fabrice Santoro so obsessed with fashion in his oncourt interview all of a sudden?)
Yesterday, I saw quite a bit of Sharapova vs. Stosur, but not the whole match - Sharapova’s service action makes me all tense. Although Stosur showed off some of her physical strength, she was the weaker opponent. It only became clear to me at the end of the match that Sharapova really wasn’t well. (Not many highly ranked seeds have come through on her side of the draw, though. In as much as that means anything in the women’s game.)
