Happy Thing, Day 2
I woke up this morning at 6am. 6am! Now normally, this would make me very unhappy, but today? It didn't. I woke up, looked at the clock, and thought, "Why am I awake now?" Then I remembered. I'm excited! The job interview went really, really well last night. The manager even asked me if I could stay for a few hours and meet the crew, because they are as much a part of the hiring process as anyone else. It seems that this lab is very unique. It's happy! And they want to keep it that way. This makes me happy. Life is miserable when you hate what you do for a living.
She strongly indicated to me that if my references check out, I'll get the job. :D I'm not exactly counting my chickens yet, but I'm closely watching the eggs for signs of hatching. *g*
ETA: Holy shit! When it rains, it pours. I just got off the phone with another VA lab I'd applied at. I've got a phone interview set up for this afternoon. //boggles//
