So.
Papa (my grandfather) gave me his manuscript.
It's his account of experiences in World War II and such.
The whole thing is over 300 pages, and awesome.
He wants me to type it onto a computer for him, since the copy he has dates back to 1949.
but.
the reason I think he is the best human being alive is the conversation we had about it.
The opening line of the book is "The great adventure is over".
He said to me "that is something only an incurable romantic would say about a world war".
"Now I know where I get it from", is what I said to him.
He turns 80 on the 28th.
He's my hero.
