I finally got my hands on the Marie Claire mag with Asha's article in it, and on Vida, which Asha writes for on a regular basis.
(for those who don't know : Asha = Asha Gill = coolest person on the planet = ex-Channel [V] VJ, ex-Weakest Link Singapore host, current presenter on Lonely Planet's Six Degrees = person on the right on my icon)
In MC she wrote about her trips to India, to Buenos Aires, to Malaysia (OK so she lives there, but it was a homecoming) and to Singapore...so much knowledge she has imparted! So much she had to go through, to learn, to pass on. I was in awe and at the same time I felt rather sad, partly because of what she had to face, and partly because of how backward and still behind I am. There is no comparison, really.
And it was a freakishly long article o_O Piccies, woo. Asha looks GORGEOUS as a Chinese Opera princess.
Then in Vida she has an interview with Anthony Bourdain (a vegetarian meets an anti-vegetarian, how ironic) and also her column, where she rants against logic because it is all illogical.
(Meh, no wonder she's friends with me. I'm the most iilogical person out there.)
It was quite an effort to type it all up for
[my demand], scanning the multitude of piccies seemed to be easier...but it was worth it. It was great reading :)
Now if only she were back here, baaaaaaaah. I miss her and I want to talk to her.
I want the October issue. The first issue. I missed it :(
