I'm really slackin' ass with this livejournal....

hey hey hey- so it's Sunday, and I'm home doing nothing and I'm damn happy about it. Drew and I were supposed to go out, but he had family stuff which is cool since he can no longer hold me standing him up last week over my head. I think in a few minutes I'm going to run to the book store- Shock G e-mailed me some books I should check out, and I do whole heartedly love literature (speaking of which, if you're looking for a good book, pick up "white oleander"... I can barely put it down). Aigh, listen to me, writing in a livejournal about books. No wonder I'm home on a Sunday :o)

Anyway, I went to the Roosevelt b-ball game, which is the first basketball game I have ever been to. Glad I got to share it with Kayode (who, according to my father, I went on a date with), Emerson, Ian, Kev, Zach, Amanda, Matt, etc.. Went to Smoothie King, and since we were in CP I inevitably had a bad encounter with dumb frat or wannabe-frat boys. But it's alright, Kayode held down the law and walked me to my car later that night (what a great guy). Yesterday started off chill but became hectic. I had a TAPIOCA performance in Warrenton, VA so I left at 3:30, met up with my ride at 4:00, got there at 6:00, practiced from 6-7:15, performed from then until 8:30, and led a workshop from 8:30-10:00, got back to my car in bowie at 11:30... at which point I tried to hang with the one and only Kenny but things got a bit messed up so I just went home. And man was I exhausted... whew! Girl Scouting should become an Olympic sport.

I'm really enjoying the recent spurt of wonderful weather- - - - - - makes me want to go on a picnic. *sigh*. if only......
