It's enough.
It's more than enough, really. I'm finished playing nice princess.
I wish I could say I didn't regret this. I mean, I mostly don't. I'll certainly enjoy it. But I usually prefer subtlety. It's just too bad that hasn't worked here so far

And once he gets to the source of the fire, he stops. All ninja-like, narrowing his eyes.]
You've got to be kidding me.

Hey-stop that!

No. You're welcome to watch, but if you're smart you won't try any harder to stop me.

[Rubbing the back of his neck, he eventually tosses his kunai towards the fountain, a good couple of feet away from where Azula is currently; a small strip of paper is inconspicuously wrapped around the handle.
He makes a couple of hand seals from where he is and crouches down, allowing for a lot of shadows go after her from all different directions; all he needs is one hit and some time to succeed, yeah?]

[But she frowns as he...does something she doesn't understand. At all. But he seems to know what he's doing, which means that whatever it is, it might be dangerous to her.

And while she hadn't seen the way the shadows moved at his command before--she merely knew he was doing something--now she notices it.]
Shadowbending...?
[It certainly looks harmless to a mind trained on elemental magic, but Azula isn't stupid enough to assume that it is. She gestures, and a too-bright ring of flame roars up around Shikamaru.
Rather than waste her energy keeping it up, though--fire isn't exactly a useful long-term way of dispelling shadow, anyway--she immediately lets it fall and follows it up with three bolts of blue fire, intending to hit Shikamaru while he's disoriented and trying to put his shadows back together.]

It's why he keeps his pace quick, never staying at one place for too long. He's too used to people trying to disorient him back at home; why let it bother him now?
Once he gets the chance to settle down for a second's (or two's) worth, he reassumes his seal and lets one shadow pick up that kunai he threw earlier and throw it at her direction-
-flash bomb!]
