ashes and wine

Last night I stirred in my sleep
A sweet dream only a lush can have
I floated over the earth; like I was
light as a feather on the wings of an eagle
The last time we met I thought there was a speck of hope
We only collide when the time is not right
So tell me what am I suppose to hold on to?
Write songs and walk with the dead
When you're gone I am completely blind
When you're gone the stars blow out
I am left in the dark with this empty bottle of wine
Someday I will tell you all my secrets if you promise to stay just this once
I will tell you all my dirty little secrets
Just this once can you stay?
Running away has finally worn out my soul
When I go for a walk the birds don't sing anymore
The seasons never change and the air is too cold
Wake me up from this drunken coma
Because I really want to know when I will see yuor face again
When will I hold your hand again?
When will I kiss you again?
We only collide when the time is not right
So tell me what am I suppose to do?
Write songs and walk with the dead
When you're gone I am completely blind
When you're gone the stars blow out
I am left in the dark with this empty bottle of wine
Wake me up from this drunken coma
Because I really want to know when I will see yuor face again
When will I hold your hand again?
When will I kiss you again?
We only collide when the time is not right
So tell me what am I suppose to do?
Write songs and walk with the dead
When you're gone I am completely blind
When you're gone the stars blow out
I am left in the dark with this empty bottle of wine
