Well, I was going to quit writing in my blog for awhile as I have a couple of tests couple within the month and I want to put a focus on that but I was going to take Emma to park to play and as I was combing my afro, (yes it will stick up in the air like a fro now). 3 months in counting without a haircut. It will be more than likely get cut by next Tuesday as I have a test in D-town with the feds. Anyways Emma is in the living room watching TV, well I go out there after getting ready and she's sleeping on the floor. So I put her in bed and she's sleeping now. I guess she was due for a nap she slept in today and this was her first nap. Maybe a visit to park will be later.
Anyways I just ate some left over Coney dogs and they gave me the same effect as the 1st time I ate them, my stomach is screaming at me and is pissed. So if I end this early it's because my intestines are eating at me. The past weekend was pretty busy. Mostly just trying to get back on my work schedule because that week off sure screwed my body all up. On Friday we had a visit from my mother and it just doesn't feel any better with the visits I still have some emotions that I feel need to come out but don't know when they will. There are just some things that make want to scream my head at her but at the other time I'm conflicted with trying to make nice with her. This is a way off topic discussion so I'll leave it as it is. Saturday we went shopping like mad people. We hit up K-Mart, Target, Wal-Mart, Kroger, stocking up on things like we were awaiting the cold war. I finally broke down and bought a DVD-Burner for the TV. It's a Panasonic and so far so good. It works great. It uses DVD-Ram's so I going to have to stock up on the RAM's/ or RW's. It works well if -R +R's too it's just I don't want a whole bunch of DVD's with shows on it. Like I do with CD's. It works fantastic with my camcorder too, imagine that a Panasonic compatible with a Panasonic. So now I can tape all my shows as long as they don't conflict with Christina's. We also picked up some water filters for my Brita, grocers, diapers, diaper genie, cards for my dad's b-day, mother's day and a wedding we have to go to next weekend. After all the shopping, we got home and Emma was tired so she took a nap and I played with my new toy. I didn't take a nap Sat. as it was already 8pm when we got done with everything so I stayed up and did the bills and then went to work. Work was quite slow despite the fact that CMU had it's graduation. I don't blame them for saving there money and no throwing away at the good old scuzzy eagle. I got home Sunday morning quite relived as it was 2 more days off.
On Sunday I woke up around 1:30pm, watching some of the Mavs/Spurs and then "The Soprano's" from last week. Ya know the one with Big Vito eating his Johnny Cakes and eating something else, anyways it was a pretty good episode. I cooked off Lasagna for my dad's birthday and watched part of the Pistons/Cavs. Wow the Pistons looked amazing, they are sure to win the title in a easy road to the championship. After running around getting ready, we headed out to my dad's for his b-day. The trip was fun as Emma had quite a lot of playtime with her new toys at her grandparents house. (I think she gets new toys ever time we go over there.) She got to play with Sadie the cat and she also gained some bravery and tried to climb the new little stair from the kitchen to the living room. All in all we had to leave cause I was after a allergy attack. I try to take Claritin but something in that house gets me and the only thing I can think of is the cat. It happens to my dad also so I don't know what it is but I always end up leaving cause I can't breathe anymore and I need to get out of there and by the time I get home everything is fine. So after a great night with my parents and some lasagna, salad, breadsticks and wine, and cake that we were too full to eat or completely forgot about it we headed home for "The Sopranos and rest. I also gave my dad the option of XM, Sirius, or I-Tunes gift card for his b-day. As he is constantly in the fields around this time and it would be a great gift for him.
Monday was my day of working on the farm and let me tell in comes the planting season and gives me the feeling that I want to go back. I know that my grandpa would love to hear me say that and my dad would be quite cautious of me saying that. On days like Monday where we are constantly running around, driving tractors all day and at the same time it's a beautiful day I sometimes stop and think if I should be working on the farm full time. I then say probably not, I have a degree and I need to use it to it's full potential. We put in a great day and I enjoyed working the long hours. I got home around 7pm, put in about 10 hours or so while my dad put in about 14 hours. We made dinner and after that I played with Emma on the floor and just enjoyed being with my two favorite girls. Sometimes a day like yesterday makes you really think and say to yourself, my life is pretty damn good despite all the negative things in the world, and all the crisis, and the economy downfall, I say I have a family and a happy family. So I'm thankful.
Today, Emma and I slept in till about 8:15AM, while Christina went to work. We woke up and watched some TV and ate breakfast. After that I put together a schedule on the new DVD burner and started to record a full lineup of shows for Emma, for future enjoyment. Then we played and ate lunch and Emma got her bath. She sure loves her bath time now, she will splash and play until the break of dawn. Well usually after her bath she is tired, well she didn't show any signs of being tired, until I wanted to take her to the park and then she fell asleep. So that is where we are at. Emma sleeping and me wanting to go to the park. Oh well I get to study for my testing and download pod casts which are great and I recommend you check them out, they are FREE. So until next week more then likely. Peace Out.
