My life lately has been interesting as of today. Not so much with the daily activates which I do, but as of the future. I have a whole bunch of choices to make down the road. The one that has been bothering me the most is my career. The question is where does my future lie. Is in Michigan or is someplace else. The economy in the great state of Michigan is in the toilet due to some of the worst misappropriation of funds every a big courtesy shake to our great Governor Jenny. Law enforcement seems to be slipping away from my interest now days as whenever a city needs money to support something, the police and fire funding are always on the way out the door first. Police work is also one of the most stressful jobs in the nation. I don't know either way I've been searching for something and I just need to find it. The casino isn't a horrible job, it's just I need an advancement in my life and career path. It's hard to support a family on the casino paycheck unless they start treating employees better or the opportunity for advancement. I've checked out quite a few jobs for loss prevention and even insurance fraud investigator. I figure people are spending about 100 times for money on private security then police officers then why not look where I have experience in. A couple other options have been border patrol, dispatch and corrections. I'm still staying in my general expertise but if results don't come back soon may branch elsewhere. Okay enough about my search.
As of lately I've been enjoying the thank god (knock on wood) great Michigan weather. On Monday night after a long day of work. Christina, Emma and I decided to go watch some Baseball/Softball at the Shepherd ball fields. Emma didn't really get into the baseball. She just kind of looked around and then would put her stroller strap in her mouth to chew on. So we watched about a inning or so of the baseball game and then went over to the softball field and this was when Emma got really excited. She would just stare at the yellow softball being throw back and forth, so I'm for sure it was the yellow softball. She also would get excited when someone would hit the yellow fence liner around the fence. She would try to hit it also. So after teaching Emma about softball/baseball, we walked around the block and then went home. There are going to be plenty more walks to baseball games and walks to the parks as long as the weather holds up. So after that we get home watch TV, and I make myself some ice cream with some butterscotch while Christina makes some Strawberry Shortcake. Christina made the shortcake Sunday and I had some Sunday and it was so delicious. After the ice cream, Emma after playing on the floor with her various toys was getting crabby and shortly after went to sleep as did we. At around 3am I wake up and little miss Emma is sleeping next to us. She just got a twin size mattress to sleep in because she was having trouble in her crib, so we figured the mattress would suit her best. She slept fine on Sat. night and on Sunday and Monday she's been having trouble. So she slept between us on my days off. She's funny when she's in bed, she will crawl to me and then to Christina she is such a snuggle bug but also moves all over the place when she's sleeping. I would only think it's from her active lifestyle cause I can hardly keep up with her anymore.
This last weekend was another busy one as on Friday we went to the SHA Fish Fry with my parents and grandparents, and also my aunt and uncle Bob and Linda and their two kids. It was fun, and we had some great fish and sides. Emma had another little girl come visit and Emma tried to talk to her with her cooing voice and ba ba da da talk. It was rainy out that night so we didn't do much during the day. After the Fish Fry we went to Target to pick up "The Chronicles of Narnia" to watch later. After that I went to work to deal with a asshole filled weekend. People were just plain stupid all weekend. Starting with Thursday we had two kids run from the cops and one decided to run up the main street and you wonder why he got caught. The second night was a kid who was told to dump his beer out and decided that the plants in the hallway needed redecorating so he tore them down. He was a tuff ass gangsta from Ann Arbor who was pissed off at the world. Anyways they let him go, I guess it was too close to shift change. Then on Saturday we went some good old domestic violence. The female was quoted as saying "I'd rather be in jail then with you" and guess what she went to jail. What a happy ending.
On Saturday we went grocery shopping and picked up Emma's Mattress. We also took Emma for her first tour of the farm. She was quite amazed at the calves in the barn and also Mugsey (the farm dog) She liked the cats but not as much as Sadie. I can't wait till Emma can run around so she can really have fun on the farm. After we got home and got everything situated. I made dinner and Christina worked on putting Emma's bed together. That's right it's a huge role reversal but when you’re a master culinary expert like myself then your expected to cook dinner and a damn good one at that. So after dinner I took a nap before work.
On Sunday it was relaxation day. It was also a beautiful day outside. I woke up around 1pm and worked on the bills, and the schedule and my weekly stuff including auctions. Then we opened up the garage door and started to clean the garage and thank god I didn't get all stuffed up and congested like I always do. So we cleaned the garage and made lasagna and strawberry shortcake and I had some brews and relaxed the rest of the night.
The Sopranos was great last night that Vito scene was priceless, and the wedding had so many great scene's I'm glad Tony is back cause Paulie did great but he can't carry a show. I loved when Tony and Johnny tried to conduct business at the wedding and to avoid the FBI agents sat with Johnny deaf parents. You would have to have seen to know what I'm talking about. Anyways I've wrote for way too long. Go Tigers.
