Sports, Sports, Sports, why is it so hard for me to become intrigued with sports today. I mean football, was a good start for me because the last two years I've had the time to sit down in front of the TV and watch some of the games. Basketball and Hockey I rarely get to watch except on a lazy Sat. or Sun. with the spring coming up and March Madness I wonder if I will get the sports bug. I'm guessing I will cause it looks like the Tourney could go to anyone. Who am I picking? Wait till Selection Sunday. As for NCAA Basketball and my beloved Spartans. I almost have to cry for my brother cause I don't think he will be there to watch old Sparty win the National Championships. They were close but I'm afraid. I will be there to watch champs and so will my father in 79 but sorry Paul you might be getting screwed. I at least got to see some good football teams and some outstanding basketball teams. I remember in my freshman year when MSU was ranked in the top 10 in football, basketball, and hockey. The Spartans later had an impressive win the Citrus Bowl where Plaxie Burress had a great game in his home state against the Gators. Then later on once again we crush the Gators in basketball. MO Pete, AJ Granger, Cleaves, Hudson, and Charlie Bell. Makes me miss March Madness. With all these conference tourneys going on there's a lot of teams who are going to get screwed so don't be surprised if some teams get in due to their conference tourney win. I'll go more into detail when the brackets come out.
In the NFL, what happens when there is no much money involved in the NFL, This collective bargaining that is going on right now. It's like all these greedy kids go into a toy store and are fighting for the toys. The toys being the players. Some of the nice free agents out there are.
LeVar Arringtion-gave 4 million to get out of contract.
Issac Bruce- Old but still has a few good years in him.
Junior Seau-A cap free up pretty much.
Tommy Maddox-Has backup potential
Mike Anderson-Broncos leading rusher, will make someone happy
Andre Dyson, Jamie Sharper--Two great D runners
What it comes down to there are a lot of D players out there for anyone to pick and build a team, the only problem is that they will be expensive.
World Baseball Classic, I tried to watch but couldn't do it. Barry Bonds and his beef injections sickens me. New topic.
Not much to report plus I'm burnt out with livejournal, myspace today till next time.
