I'm in Minnesota! For another 12 hours.
I'm heading back home to Florida tomorrow (today) in the afternoon and back to 80-degree weather. It's been in the single digits (with wind chills in the negatives) pretty much the entire time I've been here. And there's been snow (yay!). The real winter weather is fun for a few days, but I'm ready to go back to not wearing 3 layers of pants, wool socks, heavy jackets, scarves, mittens, and a hat every time I walk outside :P
The conference was really good:) I learned a lot and have come to the conclusion that I need to get an iPhone/iTouch stat. Or rather, when I start teaching (and try to get them funded for my students) because there is some REALLY FUCKING AWESOME stuff on there that is effective and way cheaper than a lot of the assistive technology currently available. Well, I want a promethean board and smart table too, but I may already have one in my future class, so I'll have to see what I get. I got lots of freebies and teacher swag (demo CDs, pens galore, and assorted catalogs/pamphlets). All in all, a good time, and well worth the trip.
I FUCKING LOVE THE MALL OF AMERICA. Screw you Disney World, you're not the happiest place on earth. The Mall of America is.
And everybody should be proud that they didn't have to come up here and drag me out. And that I'm not completely broke :P
Anyway, off to bed I go. Travel days always wear me out. Jet lag = blah.
Peace out Minnesota, and see you soon, Florida!
