I like cereal all right, but am not partial to money, only what it can provide. I would like to pet one of every animal before I die. I have a mutation that means my jaw hinge joint is unusually shaped and can bite down with many times the force of a normal human's. I think the most intimate thing in the world is being able to fall asleep with someone, probably because I have only been ever to do this with a couple of people in all my life.

In return, I would like to ask: what exactly do you do? I don't think I've ever heard you specifically say.

what exactly do you do?

I don't talk about my work much because it's super-duper boring! I'm a civil servant, and specifically I work as an auditor. I try to make sure tax dollars are properly spent in a particular government program, basically, and while it's probably the last thing I would have pictured myself doing (since I've never been super numbers-based, and I'm also a pro-government liberal), I actually like it a lot more than I thought I would. I have a master's degree in teaching and was certified to teach secondary social studies, but I had trouble finding a full-time gig after grad school and kind of fell into this current job. I found teaching really challenging and rewarding, but also very draining and overwhelming, so I'm pretty ok with where I ended up. :)

Yeah, every year on my birthday I try to pet a new animal - especially one off my top ten most wanted list. Last year was the white-faced saki. This year, I'm angling for an ocelot, but I'm not sure if it's going to pan out.

I'm glad you're happy in your work, even if it's not where you'd planned to be. I find that happiness is usually lurking where you least expect it.

What an awesome question! I actually don't have a ton - my car key, my mail key, the key to my apartment building front door/my doorknob, the key to my deadbolt, a key to my parents' house, a mystery key that might be for my Nana's house, and a key to my aunt's house (I often catsit for her when she's out of town).

Mystery key sounds very exciting! Maybe it's for a spy cache in a train station locker in a foreign capital! ;)

You have more than me - I used to carry more other people's, but now I only have my own apartment, mailbox, and car keys and my sister's house key.
