Not serious

Alright, one of my friends told me that they never read my live journal because it is and I quote "too deep." Therefore I have decided to write something that is not deep. So if you know me at all you will know that my one of my favorite hobbies is to go out and play war games with airsoft friends.

So for those of you who would like to know what airsoft is like, here it goes.

We are sent out on road ambush. Basically this ensures that 3 other guys and I will get shot out. There are 16 people at the games today so that means for those quick on the math, it is I with 3 guys versus 12. Does sound like fun especially when you are specifically selected to go out for the first ambush because you are the new guys. I was pointed out and told by Mercy, one of the people that runs these, "you go out and show them what to do." What am I supposed to do I wonder to myself. I don't particularly know what to do. On top of that I don't know what these guys are capable of doing. It turns out, not much. So Mercy says for us to run it again. This time it runs a lot better. I send the 3 other guys over on the other side of the road. There I am sure they managed to find cover large enough to hold out behind. I myself went down the other side of the road and found a lovely drop off next to a tree with an opening facing straight towards the road at a 90 degree angle. This ensures for me that the men coming down that side of the road won’t see me until I hit out the front guy (the point man). As the opposing team comes down the road, one of the other three engages. They are all soon firing trying to keep themselves from getting flanked or wrapped around so their sides aren’t exposed. As their team moves down the road to engulf my teammates I hit out the point man on my side. I duck down because once you have fired you weapon, everyone with a 50 yards knows all but your exact where abouts. I stay down for about 5 seconds and wait for the bb's to stop tinking around in the trees above my head and then slowly rise up. As I rise up and look over my drop off and around the tree and through the brush I see the hat of an enemy team’s man. I began to fire and as I am releasing my burst, he fires 2 or 3 shots past my ear. I drop down so that the following shots will not hit me in the head. They never came however. After dropping down, I realized that my burst had indeed had found him and eliminated him. As I slowly raised up as I had done before, a guy ran down the road a few meters where the point man had fallen. He had a clear shot and began to fire away. I noticed this too late and didn't have a place to cover behind and began to spray and pray as I slid down the hill in hopes his initial shots would miss and I would land behind something safely. Instead of landing behind a tree, I slid into one. Without cover I was shot out. I was however very proud of the numbers that my team had hit out for being 3 of the newer guys and me being a guy who was supposed to be charge not knowing exactly how to so. The four of us took out around 9 guys. It is no record, just an accomplishment.
