wow. so much to say, but having so much trouble putting it into words. baisically, chris, i don't even know who you are but there is so much wisdom in your words. and gabe, i wish more people would think like you do. the whole entire reason this whole thread even started was because of hipocritical christians. yes, i am a christian. does that mean i don't fail sometimes? heck no. i'll be the first to admit it, i've screwed up time and time again. but the difference between me (a christian) and someone else (a half-christian who doesn't really practice christianity, just enjoys the label), is that when i do sin, it tears me apart and i repent and i don't plan on ever doing that sin again. do i do it again? yes, of course...not because i'm a horrible christian or because i don't want God's love or anything even remotley like that. it's because i'm a weak human being. it's so sad that the socially acceptable thing to do in our society is to do the wrong thing. i'm in college, it's more acceptable to drink than it is to not drink. what's that all about? last time i checked, the bible said not to get drunk. but people ("christians") are still doing it. one thing i might have to disagree with chris on is that i don't believe it's the sinful who are making it hard for christians to stay pure in christ. i think rather it is the vast community of "sunday christians" who go to church like good little boys and girls and then go party the rest of the week and feel no remorse for it. what kind of example is that? everyone is tempeted, heck even jesus himself was tempeted. so what's the difference between him and us? he's perfect. and yes even being perfect he created free will. ohmigosh dont get me started on free will. and please...don't try to sit there and say there's no such thing. have you ever read the bible?! there's nothing that bothers me more than people who claim to be christians and go around professing the reasons for their faith and trying to answer these types of questions who don't even know what the crap they're talking about. you say you're a christian...well then why in the world haven't you read the freaking book? and i, unlike chris, do not believe in original sin. pardon me if i'm wrong (which i'm not), but is it in the bible? umm...NO. and the whole part about not thinking all sin is equal, yet again READ THE BIBLE. it's the whole point that no matter what way we do it, if we break a promise we made to God to follow him, it's wrong. i don't think the bible is trying to say it's as unnacceptable to kill someone as it is to steal, but it's all the same in God's eyes because either way we're shunning him. and the whole sex issue, God could have designed some other way for girls to get pregnant and therefore reproduce. he made it pleasurable for a reason and i believe IN MARRIAGE it is a gift that we should take full advantage of. wow this is long and i have so much more to say but i'll save it. sorry if i beat anyone up by writing this, but i'm just stating the facts. i love ya paul, you're a great guy, but this is truly how i feel.

Hey Paul, I don't have much to say on this topic, I just wanted to let you know your band did awesome the night I went to St. Andrews and it doesn't matter where you lay your faith, you're a good person at heart and that is all that should matter. People of any faith automatically put judgements on people for no reason. I never will, and never have. If you're a good person at heart and actually show it, that is all that should matter.
