Seriously?
You know, honestly, I'd like the show Merlin a lot more if Uther wasn't such a fucking idiot. I mean *seriously* he is such an ass, and so inflexible it's like it's become a plot point that makes no sense. His entire role seems to be to put Arthur down, and threaten everyone who might even be remotely magic (though he seems to fall under their spells a lot). Honestly, a lot of the teen/young adult actors in this show are already improving by episode 8 of season 1, but Giles? Just is getting worse. And it makes so little sense.
