DC Comics, I get you're a huge company and all that, and there's a lot of writers, but looking through your June releases I want to scream like a fucking Banshee (even though I'm going, oh, shiny, part of the time too).
Exhibit A: Hasn't Bruce Wayne only been dead about a year? I'm happy you're bringing him back so Dick can become SANE again, but seriously. At least pretend you weren't planning this the whole time after turning Gotham upside down for "Battle of the Cowl." Not to mention, Morrison, the guy who killed him off, if the one in charge of bringing him back.
Exhibit B: A whole new exciting era for Green Arrow? AGAIN? And there's already a whole new special event about Brightest Day? Didn't Darkest Night just end? *Shrugs* Whatever, but you're making it awfully hard for any newcomers to come into this tangled web which is kinda what you need right now. Stop with all the massive crossover events. It makes all but the uber-comic fan's heads hurt. I'm pretty close to that, and keeping up with all these events and trying to sort them out later in Trade Paper Backs makes *my* head hurt.
Exhibit C: But, no, no, that's not even what's pissing me off the most at all. No, not even close. That's minor. That's nothing. No, it's this: "Roy Harper needs to settle the score for the sake of his dead daughter."

....
...........
WHAT?!?!?!?! WHAT? I REPEAT WITH WHAT? I'm actually glad I didn't start screaming when I read that because people in this house are trying to sleep. But it was hard. THEY DID WHAT? THEY. SERIOUSLY. DID. NOT. JUST. KILL. LIAN. THEY. DID NOT. Because if they did, I don't care how much I love DC or the characters or anything, I am DONE. BECAUSE THAT IS JUST WRONG. She... they... JUST NO. THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN MAKE THAT OKAY. JUST NO. I have reasons for this, such as, because Roy's life doesn't suck enough? Absent Mentor, batshit insane assassin lover, drug junkie, lost Dick to insanity (whether romantic or not, they had a bond and it got pretty much trampled) and all he had was his little girl. But no, apparently they had to kill her too. It's just even just cos she was a kid (she nearly got sold as a sex slave once) but because it was her. The thing with Roy is he went through hell in a hand basket and was able to survive. This? Will break him. And breaking people is actually not cool.
*Takes a deep breath.* I want. To. Kill. Someone.
But, on the bright side, they're doing an new Justice League event with Booster Gold and Co, so it's Justice League International, not JLA. And they're bringing Blue Beetle into it which is always a plus. And it's being written by Keith Griffen (YAY) and Judd Winick. Say what? Winick is also taking over Power Girl. Why is this man still writing comics? Seriously? He needs to go.
