Aside from the obvious...
So, I got some MAJOR nerd points this weekend. ^.^
(It was a happy time.)
First, I picked up some Star Trek books from the used bookstore, and then headed over to the comic shop, which was where I picked up the most in the shortest amount of time.
I spent about 5 minutes squeeing over the fact they FINALLY had the next Buffy instalment, and then about *10* minutes of squeeage they had NIGHTWING BACK ISSUES OMG. *FINALLY* Because issues 61-99 have like never been collected into a trade paperback, so that's about 40 issues I have had no chance to read. In every other comic shop I've gone to they've had like Nightwing back to issue 120. Okay, so not helpful. This store had all the way back to at least issue *40* So I bought 92 and 93, because 93 is like the OMG NIGHTWING issue of all time. And I couldn't remember if it was 92 or 93 (I thought it was 92, but 93 had the right cover, so I bought both of them.)
Then I nerded with the sales guy about Batman RIP and how they better not make Dick Batman and he convinced me to buy Final Rites part 1... which I did.
So all in all, that was not too much money on nerding, but it still kinda added up ^.^ Thank god nerdiness is cheap. As long as you don't like go for the new books or TPBs or like fancy statues (though I would so love a Nightwing action figure/poster.)
Now, off to read my Star Trek books (Hey, McCoy is on the cover. I have high hopes for this book.)
