Oh, Reconnection...
Alright, so I have a pretty love/hate sort of relationship with my brain some days.
Rewatched Star Wars Episode One tonight with the father and honestly... I liked it a whole lot more than I remembered. Yes, there are two big issues with it ((Jar Jar Binks, and the acting for Anakin... see, I think looking at Anakin as a young slave farmboy is actually a decent idea... I'm just not a fan of most of his lines and I'm not sure if that's the script or the actor honestly)). But hot damn are those some epic battles, and I kinda love how accidental the final blow in the space battle is like...whoops. And all the other pilots are like WTF is that?!? Plus, Duel of the Fates is made of so, so much musical love.
And the Gungan culture had some potential to it that was never really explored in the film, but it's there.
But I think the reason I want to maul my brain the most is about halfway through Macavity informed me he wants to become a Jedi. Followed by him and Cori as Jedi partners... I can just imagine them standing back to back with their lightsabers, surrounded by god knows how many droids bickering like mad... with Misto behind them facepalming. Followed by associating huts with Jones. And then Misto informed me he would so enjoy podracing which ended up with Misto in Anakin's role, Mac taking Qui-Gon and Cori Obi-Won. We'll see how this goes... since my co-muse approved of it. Which brings us to our... sixth verse? Oh good god.
