And This, Ladies and Gents, is What Not to Do

Gaaaaah, purple prose. I'm kinda sorta writing with someone who does purple prose all over the damn place ((and their character's color is even purple... go figure.)) She writes purple prose... but detaches her characters. This is not a good combo, and should be avoided. In fact, purple prose should just be avoided. But also, don't go toward Hemingway either so much. Balance, kits, balance.

In other news: Managed to break my Modern verse Misto. Like, totally. We've broken Cor 3-4 times already in that story, but that's kinda like dropping a plate and putting it together (and, honestly, mostly breaking him via Misto). But when I break Misto? It's like shattering a crystal goblet on cement. GAH. I broke him so damn badly. (And now he's blaming himself... some how I did not expect this damn it.)

Went down to see Threepenny Opera today. It was a very good show, some very interesting things. Narrator and lots of asides to the cast, to constantly remind you, yes, you're watching a play. Also, very minimalist sets that were rather nice... and all on wheels. I think I would have preferred my Mac muse no where near the third act but all in all a very good show. Most of the actors were excellent singers as well, and I really liked the theatre. It was a good deal smaller than even the Village so that was nice.

That being said: Don't want to write papers. But... it's getting to that lovely time when I really have to. Gah. I is ready for Spring Break, but also sad because my co-muse is going to be gone the whole time and most of my other friends live far away or don't even have the same spring break. On the other hand: Oh boy am I going to be catching up on massive amounts of reading.

misto, life, felidae, muscial
