 Alright, so finally got around to watching the all of half hour animated short Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam. First of all, bah, yes, present Black Adam as totally black, a mindless villain set on destruction. Alright fine. Ignore all his character development ever

Yeah, and especially one like Black Adam. I mean, omg Black Adam. This is the guy I almost want to root for more than Billy somedays and this guy actually *tries so damn hard* and just keeps loosing everything and the heroes keep judging and he just goes, "Fuck this, WOOBIE DESTROYER OF WORLDS TIME." <3 So yeah, making him just a hulking villain in this one was... annoying.

This is true, I do think if done right the aspect of a kid in an adult body like that can be quite interesting. I really loved the one in Shazam!Monster Society of Evil though, because Marvel was just as innocent and confused as Billy and it was. so. cute. I did also like him a lot in JLI, and then when he showed up in the two short series sequels. ... I just love JLI, and Mary Marvel got a chance in those comics too which was great. Then, I did enjoy him and Black Adam both on JSA. It's one of the few times I've really liked Geoff John's writing... and he usually was doing it with David Goyer which... win. I liked the idea that Billy was in love with Courtney, but of course most of the team just knew him as Marvel, so at one point Jay came up and was like "You are far too old for her. What are you, 25?" and he was just... ack.

Yeah, it was fun. >.> Oh propaganda...
