But I am ready to be home. Ah well, almost there.
It's been lovely though, because our "travel daughter" (or, more of, my travel sister) who we met in China two years ago, is over here with us. It's odd, we've meet her like two times before this and invite her over on this trip with us and it works our perfectly. She just fits in really well with our crazy family dynamic, and actually makes us work a bit better. It's also funny because it was Dad's idea to invite her and he usually hates having other people around. Her and I have been plotting lots of Europe trips. We both really want to go to Turkey and Greece right now. So, she's been making the trip a lot better. She's even started talking about *maybe* moving out to Washington to work on her Ph.D because she says she wants a different scene than Florida. I don't know, we'll see how this goes. I think it would be cool though. Not that she should pack up and move across the country just because I think it would be cool, but she's the one talking about it.
Anyway, the snorkeling continues, though, at this point, unless I see an Octopus, I'm kinda done with it. I saw one five years ago, and am the only one in my family to ever see one. I still think that was the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Though, yesterday we saw a Monk Seal lying on the beach and that was AMAZING. He was so cool looking and so freaking huge. Also, they're supposed to be the most endangered spieces of seal
Not that that's my picture of anything (we lacked a camera at that point, and we couldn't get that close) but they are so freaking cool. He was lying on his back, basking in the sun. At one point he turned over and buried his nose in the sand. <3
