Well, thanks to
DewFreak for suggesting I make this thing into a Windows screensaver.
You can find it here:
http://yacfr.org/cmnr/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=1 In the past, I've tried to make it into a Windows screensaver, but it was kind of complicated. This time, I was able to find an easy way to make Java screensavers (
Java SaverBean SDK).
At least, I thought it was easy, but it still took me 4 hours or so of coding to get it debugged and working.
You'll need Java 1.5 installed to actually make this thing work, and it runs slower than the one on the web site, but on the plus side, it doesn't hammer the CPU either.
It should even work under Unix, but I have not actually tested it. I'd like to hear if anyone can get it working under Unix.
Eventually I plan on making this thing have some user configurable parameters, but right now it's pretty basic.
