Wow. I haven't updated in a long time.
Lucius was beautiful, as always. Sirius kicked ass, as always. Harry looks terrible with short hair. Snape was abusive and awesome, as always. Hermione is the one with an emotional range of a teaspoon in this movie. All she seems to be able to do is move her eyebrows a lot. I use to like her, now I can't stand her. Ron was fine. The only complaint I have about him was that he didn't have much to do.
Ditto goes for the Weasley twins. Hey, did anyone catch Percy in the movie? He had has hair all slicked back. He didn't look to bad. Dumbledore...where should I begin...As much I like Michael Gambon as Dumbledore (because I pictured Dumbledore the way Gambon portays him) I just...am not getting the feeling that he really cares, granted the charcterization in this movie was better than the last. However, I credit this problem to the screen writer.
The screen writer sucks. I have never liked him very much. PoA and OotP have the same problem. They went to fast. Seriously. Last night I was sitting in the theatre and the first 7 or 8 chapters were compressed into 7 or 8 minutes. It was almost like it was an abridged version, just bearly skimming the surface and not giving the audience enough time to really feel or connected with any of the characters.
If you treat the movie as it's own work and having no affiliations with the book then it's really good. If you don't then you could probably wait to see it on DVD.
As for book related stuff. My theories:
R.A.B. - Yes I think it's Regulus Black. Do I think it'll have a prominent part? No, absolutely not. The only thing it would serve is to let Harry know that the locket is in Grimmauld Place (the locket that none of them could open while they were cleaning, you know the part they cut out of the movie). I think we're making a big deal out of nothing.
Is Dumbledore really dead? - YES!!!!! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY!!!!!!!!!!!! He is dead. Dead dead. He is so dead that the only thing he's teaching nowadays is a class of worms. He's dead people. The only way will see or hear from Dumbledore is through a flashback or his portrait which is hanging in McGonagall's office (because she's headmistress now).
Is Sirius dead? - Yes. The only way we'll see him is through a flashback or the mirror.
Is Severus good or bad? - I'm still not too sure but I'm leaning toward good. And that's not just because I like him. I think he and Dumbledore came to an understanding that if it was necessary, in order to keep Voldemort convinced that Snape was a Death Eater, Snape should kill Dumbledore. I also think at the point of time of Dumbledore's death he was already physical weakened and mentally drained and not too far from death anyway. I also think Severus is going to die anyway.
Draco - I want Draco to switch sides, which I think he will but not like Snape did. Mentally I think he'll realize that Voldemort is the enemy (actually he probably realized it in the sixth book.). I want him to do something about, you know? Like seek out the Order and join their cause and go down in a blaze of glory where his character is redeemed in the eyes of the fans (just like Seto Kaiba in the Abridged Series). However, after reading some of Mugglenet.com's predictions and deductions for book seven they have a very valid point: Draco is a coward. He'll die because he didn't carry out the Dark Lord's orders. Who knows, Bellatrix might even be the one to kill him.
Lucius - Aww, my baby. He'll live. Azkaban will keep him safe.
Neville - Will kill Bellatrix. He'll live too.
Hmmm I think that's about it for now. Bye!
