New update... I know you all are super excited!
Well, my good friend, Mike, has been reminding me that its been a decade since my last update so I thought it was time to do a bit of typing.
Lets see... since my last update a lot of things have happened.
I moved to the Soo at the end of April. I live in a tiny apartment with my friend Deb. We share a bedroom and have 2 pet ferrets. I threaten to kill them multiple times a week. I'm hoping to get a bigger apartment becuase of my need for space, but it will have to wait until I make more money.
I dont' make that much money currently because the job I moved here for decided not to hire me. I was not a happy camper. I went in to talk to them and wanted to discuss terms of my employment before I started work. At this suggestion, Dr. Anderson got nervous and told me she'd have to let me know when we could do that, so I left her a number she could leave messages for me at and left. (This is the shortened version of this story) I got a message later that day from one of dr. anderson's employees and returned the call and they let me know dr. anderson said I should look elsewhere for a job. So I kept myself composed until I could leave Jason's parents house (where I was having them leave messages for me since I had no phone yet) and went home and cried. I tried to think of the best way to get back at them because i was soooo mad. But I settled for doing nothing and starting my search for a new job.
Currently I am working 5 odd jobs. I work at the motel that I live next to and is owned by my landlord. I babysit 25 minutes away for 2 kids on thursdays saturdays and sundays. I groom 2 dogs at a guys home. I did the first dog this past monday and it took me 4 hours!!!! But I get payed good for it so thats ok. I clean rental houses with Jason's mom. And I lied. I only have 4 jobs, I just quit another babysitting job.
Jason and I broke up at the beginning of the month and are working on a friendship. I do a fine job of screwing that up sometimes, but in the end we make up and are able to smile and be friends again. Perogies bring us together.
I quit Purdue and after a long time deciding of what the heck to do with my life I decided to apply to Baker college online and get my associates in business. So I just did that last week and have to wait and see if I get accepted. I'm praying for a yes. And hopefully some loans will come through. Cause I definatly can't afford to pay for it myself.
I really miss going to church up here on sundays, but I can't quit the weekend babysitting job until I get a steady week job. Mike told me his employer may have an opening in either sales or at the UPS desk. Its a furniture and freighting store I guess. I took in my resume saturday, but the boss is gone all this week, so I don't expect to hear real soon about that.
All in all I'm happy though. My family/relatives continue to make attempts to get me to come back home, but I keep on and let them know that I like it here and I'm happy.
