Together We Ride...!

Name (Nickname is fine too): Laura
Age: 19
Gender: Female

How many stampings have you had at FE_Stamps? If this is a Re-Stamp, who where you stamped as before, and why do you want to change it?: None. (This is my first time.)

Likes: Birds, cats, horses, music (if it's not actually present, it's playing in my head), visual art, seafood (especially fish and shrimp), foreign languages, cosplaying, good humor, friendly people, musicals, sunny days.
Dislikes: People who can't take hints and/or a joke, hypocrites, unexpected loud noises (slamming doors, popping balloons, etc.), spiders (and most other creepy-crawlies, but only when they're in my personal space), arrogancy, honesty to a fault.
Fears and Pet Peeves: I'm afraid of the dark, deep water (or drowning), and [the anticipation of] pain. Some of my biggest pet peeves are when people constantly smack their lips or sniff/snort with their noses, and when a piece of writing is riddled with grammer errors and typos (especially if the writer is, or should be, perfectly capable of producing decent writing).
Weaknesses: I am a HUGE procrastinator, I'm emotionally sensitive and have a tendency to take things personally (although I'm getting better about that), I'm pretty gullible (because I'm so trusting, haha), and I apologize a lot. Physically, I'm short and on the skinny side, so I'm not good at taking too many punches. Ha!
Strengths: When I set my mind to something, I don't give up easily, and I'm good at working through puzzles and such (although it might take me a little while, depending on the difficulty). Physically, although I'm short and rather skinny, I'm in good shape, and what I lack in muscle strength I make up for with endurance.

Favorite quote, and why you chose it: "I shall never forget that the probability of a miracle, though infinitesimally small, is not exactly zero." --The Procrastinator's Creed (#7). This makes me laugh every time I read it, because it's totally how I live most of my life.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Why?: I enjoy playing video games, playing the piano, reading fanfiction, being with my friends, or just plain daydreaming. Daydreaming is actually my favorite passtime; I practically LIVE with my head in the clouds. The ideas and pictures that accumulate in my head usually end up inspiring me to write and/or draw something, so I feel like my mind is always stimulated.

What do you feel is your best quality?: My openness to others and their ideas and opinions. (When I meet you, I'll think the best of you unless you give me reason to think otherwise.)
Your worst?: My tendency to [mentally] berate others when they cannot accomplish a task that I personally feel is easy or simple. (This happens a lot when it comes to playing music.) For some reason, my first reaction is to think, "If I can do it, why can't they?"
Do you care what people think of the way you act?: If they are people that I respect and/or hold in high regard, then [usually] yes. Otherwise, I usually don't care, because chances are that I'll never see those people again.
What about the way you look or dress?: Not usually, no. I'm not saying that I totally let myself go; if it looks good to me, I'm good for the day. (Jeans and a T-shirt usually work.) However, if I'm going to a party or some special event, I'll consider putting on at least a little make-up or jewelry or something, or wearing something more form-fitting.

When doing something that makes you think, like this application, do you rush through it or tackle each step slowly? Why?: At first, I feel like I want to get it done quickly, so I can have it over and done with. However, I tell myself to slow down and get each question done as it comes (although I usually get bored if I think too much on a question, and I end up skipping to one I can answer more easily).

Are you...and why?
Mature or Immature?: I feel I'm mature, but I have a good sense of humor. I might act like a child at some times (usually when I'm with good friends), but I know when to stop and be serious.
Leader or Follower?: I'm a little of both. I can take charge if I really need to (depending on what the task is), but I'm just fine with being a follower.
Optimistic or Pessimistic?: I'm pretty optimistic, although I do have a habit of worrying too much over little things (which I'm getting better at not doing). Most of the time, though, I find myself looking up.
Impulsive or Cautious?: I tend to be more cautious, but it really depends on what I'm doing at the time. If I'm together with my close friends, I usually have no problem doing things on impulse. However, I usually think twice about the bigger things (like going on some long roadtrip or signing up for an event that takes commitment, etc.).
Outgoing or Shy?: I'm really outgoing. I usually have no trouble at all talking to a stranger (if the environment is friendly enough, that is). However, if my surroundings don't seem too friendly, I might be more hesitant to strike up a conversation (although that certainly won't stop my curiousity about that person).
Playful or Serious?: Depending on the people I'm with, I can be both playful and serious. When I'm with people I'm comfortable around, I'm all-out playful. If there's business to be taken care of, I'll turn pretty serious, but I may crack the occasional joke to lighten the mood along the way.
Friendly or Mean?: I consider myself a very friendly person. I don't like the idea of hurting people (especially if they didn't do anything wrong), so I try to be as kind as possible to people I meet. If they don't return that kindness, I'll still be polite (but that won't stop me from thinking nasty thoughts about them in my head).
Lazy or Active?: I'm actually pretty lazy. As I said before, I'm a procrastinator, and if I can afford to put something off, chances are I'll do it. However, once I get started on something, I'm very good at seeing it through to the end. (My problem is the whole "starting" part.)
Careless or Meticulous?: I'm pretty meticulous. Just because it takes me a while to get started on something doesn't mean I don't take it seriously once I'm working on it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, actually, so all of my efforts to make sure something is done right may actually be slowing down the process.

If you could be any class (Mage, Paladin, etc…), what would you be, and why? Do laguz classes count? If so, I'd love to be either a hawk or a raven. I absolutely love birds, and I love the thought of being able to fly. I also like the thought of being able to perform "hit-and-run" attacks, especially since I don't think I'd be able to take continuous huge hits like a frontline soldier. (For a beorc class, I'd probably choose a pegasus knight for the exact same reasons.)

When at work or school, do you…
Work too hard, or not hard enough?: It really depends on the class. In a generic class, I do the work that's assigned to me, and if I do well enough to get an "A," that's wonderful, and if I do well enough to pass the class, that works for me, too. If it's a class I'm really into (like an art class), I'll usually put in some extra effort because it's something I really enjoy.
Chat with others, or keep to yourself?: I love talking with others (especially if it's about something that interests me), but I also don't mind being alone, since it gives me a chance to reflect and watch other people interact. I'm the kind of person who likes being social, but doesn't mind being by myself (as long as it's because I CHOSE to be by myself, and not because others are ignoring me purposefully).
Boast and joke around, or discuss serious matters?: Both. I know when it's time to have fun and when it's time to start being serious. I have this weird tendency to pick up vibes off of people, so if it's clear that humor isn't working, I can sober up pretty quickly. (It works the other way around, too.)
Eat in a cafeteria, or alone in a corner?: If I know anyone there, I'll eat in the cafeteria. Otherwise, I'll eat in a corner, not because I'm anti-social, but because I like to observe people from afar.

Concerning Fire Emblem: When on the battlefield… What is your position? Would you direct the battles, stand at the point, escort the magic users…?: I wouldn't mind being back-up, actually. Haha! That, or some kind of scout or something. If I were a laguz hawk, I could circle above and keep watch for enemy reinforcements, or guard a designated point or something. (That'd work out nicely, wouldn't you say?)

Would you rather be sent around to recruit for your group, gather items, or fight?: I'd rather fight, personally (so I know that whatever strength I have is put to good use). However, if items needed to be gathered or someone needed rescuing, I wouldn't mind going to do it if I were close enough.

If promised a large sum of land, money, or something else valuable, would you betray your party?: No. Even if I had just met the group I was travelling with, I would have most likely already made some personal connection with them, so I wouldn't betray them. However, if that "something else valuable" was my family or friends in danger, I might consider otherwise.

Why do you fight? For friends? Family? Honor? Or just to prove your worth?: I fight because I feel the cause (whatever it may be) is right, and I do it to protect those I love. (Proving worth to myself may play a factor in it as well.)

How well do you put up with annoying people in your group? Do you ignore them, or scream at them? Do you threaten them? I'd be pretty good at ignoring them if there was enough else to focus on. If it was a matter of them bugging me, I'd probably start off giving them hints to leave me alone, and if that didn't work, I'd probably end up giving them the cold shoulder. (And if all THAT didn't work, I'd probably end up exploding at them, but that's a complete last resort, as I don't like to yell.)

If you were positive your team should be doing one thing, but everyone was doing something else, like marching into a trap, what would you do? What if you tried to tell them and they didn’t listen? While I would feel that I am in the right, I would (somewhat reluctantly) follow my team. Whatever it is that my team is going to face, it would probably be better if we were all together. No matter how much I feel we should do something different, if something befell my companions and I wasn't there to help them, I would feel guilty, so I would rather stick with them and make sure everyone came out okay.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?: As optimistic as I am, I'm also a big worrywart. I know that sometimes worrying can be helpful, but I wish I did it less and just went with the flow of things.
If you could change one thing about the world around you, what would it be?: I would make it so there was WAY less people in the world. We're killing the planet with our numbers already, and although some will be offended at my words, the last thing we need on this planet is more people. Less births + more adoptions = better population control.
How did you find this community?: I was searching for Fire Emblem-related communities and found this. It looked like fun. <3

This is rather important. Would you like your stamp to be restricted to a game, or have a game excluded?

Example: If you didn't play Blazing Sword, but you played Sacred Stones, Path of Radiance, and Radiant Dawn, you could ask not to be stamped as a BS character. Or perhaps the other way around? Is there only one game you'd like to be stamped as a character of? Please tell us now.
I would rather be stamped as a character from Path of Radiance and/or Radiant Dawn. I haven't played Blazing Sword (so please exclude that), and I haven't finished Sacred Stones yet. (However, if no PoR or RD characters fit the bill, an SS character can work.) :D
