i went in yesterday and went straight to frank's office. we shook hands and he started showing me some old film splicer that he got from one of his old stores. He started making small talk and was very genial about the whole thing which was good and made me less nervous. He called in that same coworker that i mentioned in the last entry as a witness or something. Frank showed me the Insurance claim forms which very much stated that i would have to be arrested if Frank were to pursue the claim. There was a post it at the top that said "hold until frank meets with him". Frank told me about the claim and what was involved and stuff and then asked me how long i thought i'd been skimping on hours. i told him that i thought it was 3-4 months but i didn't wanna commit to a number and be wrong. so he pulled up all my files that i'd scanned and all my checks and basically made my coworker figure out a way to decipher how long i'd been there each day. He told frank that he felt uncomfortable playing executioner but didn't want to come to my defense because "no one here is ok with what you did". Anyway Frank went through the numbers and did the math and came out to a total of like $3564. He settled at $3000 and said that was all i had to pay him and what not. i gave him $2690 with the remaining $310 to be paid in 30 days. he said something like "you should never bad mouth your employers. you go upstairs and talk bad about your employer to your friends upstairs. there are ears everywhere you really dont know how small this world is." which makes me wonder who the canary is. but i digress. My old coworker just informed me that there are microphones upstairs, supposedly. how creepy. but anyway its done with and now i'm extremely poor. so. on goes the job hunt.
