I'm not shy...i just don't want to "criticize" if I'm not being asked. And technically it isn't a criticism, its a curious observation and could completely be dependent on me being a crackhead.
But is the dominant "beat" in that piece sorta on the front side of the beat? I mean i'm not really used to "dance" music but it was sorta rhythmically and metrically unsettling (for me because I listen to waaaaay too much music that glorifies the back end of the beat) or could it be that the dominant beat gets faster? Or it could be the end of the cycle where the beat changes from down beats to the syncopated 1 2 & _ 4 (if its really in four and not two, but just for argument sake i'm conceptualizing it in 4). But i LIKE it for that reason, if only to make me think and poke me in the buttocks.
And the vocals are great... I think she fits the color of the song well. Kinda an ethereal alto...and its mixed well (i think that's the technical producery word for it)
