It’s a gorgeous morning here in Tokyo - a day after a massive typhoon tore at the coastline. The wind and rain were severe that it brought the robotically efficient Tokyo train system to a temporary halt, a very unusual situation. Today, the sun is bright, the wind warm and mild and the air is sweetly scented with late summer foliage. (It turns out that downed trees make the air smell nice the next day.)
I’ve just returned from participating for the first time in the 15th annual Rainbow March in Sapporo. What an amazing experience! I’ll be writing about this more in my various columns and social networking posts.
(Today I’m off to see my mom - I’ll be reporting on that too.)
My fall tour is in full swing. I’ll on the road for three month and I’ll miss my family, but I look forward to seeing many of you and all the adventures.
By the way, if you asked for a “lube job” bonus secret prize from my last newsletter, it’s nearly ready to go out and will be going out in the next few weeks. I apologize for not getting it done in time. I ended up receiving an invitation to an exciting art exhibition, and planning for it ate a chunk of my time. I promise, I’ll be lubing you up!
